This hotel offers everything we wished for as a family.
The hotel is clean, peaceful and offers many facilities.
Especially the management and personnel of the hotel is very friendly, everybody feels welcome! The are very kind to children.
If you like, you can join a small sermon in the evening by an invited speaker.
The location of the hotel, as well as the extra facilities it offers, gives one the opportunity to spend time on body (skiing/hiking) and mind (wellness/sermon).

Very nice and well updated hotel. Stayed here during our ski holiday with the family. Family focused, very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect breakfast and good diner, clean rooms with great view on the beautiful mountains. Good access to the ski region. Last years the hotel has been updated with new facilities, like sauna, outside whirlpool and hot tub.

Room tip: Suggest to take a room in the "Stammhaus", with a room facing the mountains.

I have returned to Hari Schelgeli this winter for the 25th time, after a break of three years. The new managing couple (in place since 2012) has restored the quality of service that I knew from the past (I have been a regular guest since 1968!). The hotel offers three star rooms (great beds, bathroom, absolute silence), but also two star rooms with common shower rooms on the floor (in the old building). I have slept marvelously well.

The hotel offers half and full pension formulas, with utmost flexibility. Food is delicious (two alternative menus proposed, one vegetarian). Highly lactose-intolerant people may wish to inquire as cream is used for the soups and some dishes. The salad buffet is delicious and cream free.

Many free extras: sauna, hammam, infrared room and outside jacuzzi (no supplement!), table tennis and billard, a number of larger reading rooms for group meetings, and so on; occasional movie presentations or concerts. Level of service: excellent, immediate and very very friendly.

Hari Schlegeli continues the 150 year old spiritual tradition of warmhearted and embracing evangelicalism, and offers (at least during high seasons) a daily service of 30 minutes with singing, praying and rich thoughts. Participation is optional (of course).

I like to go there around Christmas to withdraw from mundaine activities, rest, and collect my thoughts before the start in the new year. Whoever looks for this sort of restful place CANNOT FIND ANY BETTER. If you want to go out to bowling, bars or the movie theaters, everything is in a 15 minutes walking distance.

Note that a few years ago, the former manager (who took over from the retired long-term family managers), was unlucky in his attempts to run this place and drove a number of year-long clients away (including myself). Now the place is back in full beauty, and better (and more comfortable) than ever before!!!

Room tip: Three star rooms with Southward view and terrace.

It was a very special week, for rest and walk, ride. It have a wonderful landscape, with a family environment. Were we could spend our 20 years of marriage. The beds and bathroom were very clean and smelling.

Room tip: THe high floors have a more beatiful view and more comfortable.

We went as an extended family and took three rooms on a half-board basis for our parents, two boys (7 and 5), and ourselves plus baby. The Hari went out of their way to accomodate the need for the boys' rooms to be close at hand to ours, and offered us two rooms in their Chalet Stockli where we had the corridor to ourselves. The rooms in this chalet, even if not the most modern, come with their own kitchenette, which was very handy for washing up water bottles, refrigerating fruit etc. All the rooms here also come with a stunning view of the mountains, which may be enjoyed from one's private balcony.

Our children loved the playground and the indoor playroom, and they were also treated to an almost daily shower of small toys, puzzles and activities which the staff would leave for them on our dinner table. A bouncy castle was even produced on the terrace on one of the evenings for their sole enjoyment, they being the only children at the hotel. Indeed, everybody who served us were without exception warm, friendly and eager to make our stay as happy and comfortable as possible.

The food was ample and the half-board fare was very reasonably priced. Especially memorable was an evening meal on the terrace with the mountains in the background, where we enjoyed a buffet BBQ meal.

The Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Adelboden bus station, and has the advantage of not being on the high street (Dorfstrasse), which at the time of our visit was busy and dusty due to building works at various locations. In the heat of summer, we also noted that it felt cooler where the Hari was compared to the high street itself and places on the other side of Adelboden.

Room tip: The Stammhaus has recently renovated hotel rooms. The rooms in the Chalet Stockli are less modern but come with their own kitchenettes.
