We were in a triple room which was very small and no internet from room and no air condidtioning (not metioned in details of room) we were told that "it was after all a budget hotel". Parking and breakfast was extra. Would be my last choice of places to stay even if the location is great.

Room tip: Look at rooms before booking.

This is the last hotel in the line of them in Tasch that runs alongside the train tracks, so there is nothing in the way of the beautiful view of the mountains from your balcony. It's a very short walk to the train station and there is free parking. If you're looking to avoid staying in Zermatt, this is a pretty good option.

The room itself is older style, but there's nothing actually wrong with it. It's clean and comfortable, has good free wifi, good shower etc. Breakfast was nice - pretty standard European buffet. They bring you a pot of good coffee though which was a bonus.

We didn't use the wellness facilities but they looked good.

My brother and I stayed here in Jan '17. This hotel is less than a 5 min walk from the train station. There's a full wellness center with showers, a pool, hot tub, steam, sauna and solarium. Rooms are decent; a bit small but this is Europe. Bathroom was huge with a tub you could dive into. Breakfast was included every morning consisting of various breads, meats, cheeses, cereal and hard boiled eggs. There is a storage room for ski equipment. Train shuttles run every 20 minutes up to Zermatt, a short 12 minute ride away.

Everything about this property works. The proximity to the train to Zermatt, which is only a few minutes away was extremely convenient. You're practically in Zermatt without the much higher prices there. We loved the unique feeling of this property. The decor is eccentric but attractive. The breakfast was satisfying and lavish for deluxe continental. They have diner available as well.
The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, even helping us plan the next leg of our rail journey through Switzerland.
A great feature of this property is the wellness center that includes an indoor pool and jacuzzi, as well as steam and sauna. A great way to end the day.

This is the perfect stopping off point for Matterhorn without the craziness and prices of Zermatt. We arrived a couple hours before check-in, but were able to get into a room. Front desk gentleman was very friendly. Room was spacious and the hotel is at the edge of town so they have excellent views up the mountain. We had a car (free parking a plus), but the train to Zermatt is a three minute walk, and restaurants are also walking distance.

Breakfast was included and plentiful - meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, bread, juice, etc.
The hot tub was lukewarm, maybe they needed to heat it up before we got in. The only downside is hearing the train since it's so close, but the town is so small that probably anywhere you hear the train. We'd recommend this hotel!
