Our family came to visit the Bella Lui Jugendherberge in Crans Montana for a week of skiing together with another family.
The staff at the hotel was amazingly flexible and hospitable when we asked for alterations in our plans for the rooms several times.
Always friendly and doing their best to help us with our requests.
Both breakfast and dinner is served in the dining area with long oak wood tables, surrounded by large windows to let in the sunlight and beautiful mountain view.
We found most of the breakfast components that we had hoped for, except boiled eggs and dark rye bread. But I guess that is because we are from northern Europe
Dinner was usually well composed, tasty and good value for the money. The atmosphere is friendly but still serene due to the architecture and matching decor.
The house itself is worth a special mention. Simplicity is the first thing meeting the eye, but the first female architect of Switzerland had a good eye and the rooms, materials on walls, the original lounge chairs, window colors, warm oak tree furniture gives you a feeling of home after just a day. And then you find a ping-pong table and baby-foot game in the basement. Great evening fun! We can really recommend this place for anyone that want good service and a special experience without spending a fortune.
