We arrived in Andermatt just after the Tourist Information office closed so we just went to the first hotel we saw. As my partner was getting the rates, I quickly went online and checked the prices. We got a much lower rate than was advertised, with breakfast. The waiter/clerk was very nice and helpful. The room was large and airy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and we were grateful to have been in such an affordable place considering the high rates and expensive restaurants. Andermatt is a very walkable, lovely place and made a good stop during our vacation.

I stayed here on a trip with EF Tours, and this hotel is a really nice space. The food was delicious, especially the vegetable soup, and the rooms were large. There was more than enough space for three girls. Our room had bunk beds! I also loved the balconies outside the windows. There was a problem the first night with a mix up of the meals for the vegetarians in the group, but with a group of about 50 people it was understandable. If you're staying in Andermatt, I would recommend coming here for a charming place, and delicious food.

Place is kind of warm welcome for dining. We have grill trout and salad - very good just nice favor. Ice cream for desert is nice finish touch. Service was great. We enjoy meal with white wine for our family here.

Very friendly and helpful -they picked us up from Goschenen at midnight as the train didn't go to Andermatt for a much more reasonable price than a taxi quoted. The room was relatively basic, altho the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was quite limited but good what was there. We went at the end of the season pre ski-touring.

Also worth noting is that the room was quite noisy on our second night - we could hear everyone coming and going in to their rooms, which was super noisy (it was a big student trip) which kept us awake.

Another two nights on our EF Tours school trip brought us to Hotel Badus which quickly got a nickname from the teens. We received 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts here as well as the 2 night of sleep. The meals were very good and one of the few which came around to offer the growing boys (and girls) seconds. Nice touch. We had our own dinning room which probably helped the other guests more than us but was good for us too. The single rooms are small (but singles don't really exists in US rooms) but perfectly fine for our needs - really just needed a place to shower, change, and sleep. The girls' had a room for 4 which was huge. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. The bar was quiet but a perfect spot to watch Women's world cup soccer with the inn keeper. The town is very nice and definitely designed for skiers. I would go back here anytime - it was lovely!

Room tip: WiFi was spotty on certain floors and some rooms have balconies while others don't (so ask).
