We stayed in room 201

Good wifi
Good breakfast
Good bathroom but tiny shower - probably renovated recently.
Has secure bike storage about 150m from the hotel
Positioned on the river front

Tiny dark bedroom. You have to plan carefully where to put your luggage as you will need to step over it to get to the bathroom/ door.
PrettyTown but over run with tourists during the day.

I have just returned from a walking holiday of one week in the Moselle area in Germany. We were a group of 17 people and we stayed the 7 nights in this lovely small to mid size hotel. The small town of Cochem is beautiful, with the dominating castle high above the city. This lovely hotel is located right in the centre of the town and bang on the river bank. You really can't ask for more location wise. The rooms are small to medium in size but very clean and there is really nothing missing, except maybe some small fans to cool a bit the rooms in warm days , as there's no air conditioning in the hotel.Anyway, when we were there for the 7 nights in July, the weather was fine and there was no need to cool the room. Our stay in the hotel was based on half board basis. The breakfast is quite extensive ,the selection of bread and rolls is very impressive and there is a good selection of fruits, vegetables, cheese, cold cut delay meat and cereals. But my big surprise was dinners. We had 6 dinners there, and all three courses, every evening ,were excellent.A really high standard of ingredients and cooking. I must point out the efforts made by the whole staff and especially the lovely lady that runs the place. Her English is really good, she is very enthusiastic and greets personally every guest that comes down to breakfast and dinners. When she heard that on my last day ,I'll have to leave very early, before breakfast starts, she insisted that I'll take with me a "breakfast box" ,and indeed,a very satisfying mix of items was waiting for me,including 2 bottles of mineral water. Now,that's what I call service! It has to be mentioned that all the people in our group were of the opinion that the stay at Karl Noss hotel was very enjoyable and satisfying.

Room Tip: There is one room with balcony facing the Moselle river

Great location, friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. We had a back room and it was very hot, stifling hot. No air conditioner and very small window. Book a front room with terrace in the summer. We would stay again.

Hotel Noss is located in the center of the Cochem city, right next to river. This is a busy area with a lot of restaurants and wine bars, but it was not disturbing at all.

We had the room with balcony with beautiful river view, which was more like patio - with seating area, sun bed and a sofa! Worth of spending few extra euros on it! Room was quite old and small, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast (included) was very nice, and the coffee excellent :) There was a small mini bar in the room, for your own needs or you can fill it up from the "maxi bar" right outside the room with the drinks you want - excellent concept!

All the sights are within walking distance, including the castle (you can walk there pr take the bus from the bus station or marktplaz square). The river cruise boats leave from the front of the hotel, and there is different packages offered from one hour cruise to longer dinner cruises.

If you are arriving with car - There is no parking at the hotel, but you can drop off your luggage to the hotel and then take the car to the parking area located just few hundreds meters from the hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Noss's Fredereich's Guesthouse right around the corner and had a fantastic stay. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic view of the Mosel, and our room accurately fit the online description. Our only complaint was that when checking out we were informed of a $40 cleaning fee. This dampened an otherwise fantastic experience.

Hello Mr. Bishop,
Thanks for your review. We are pleased that you had a nice nice days in Cochem. The 40 € was not for the final cleaning but for the approximately 50 parts of laundry we have washed, dried, ironed and folded for you. Since it was different parts ware everything was washed separately. We hope we could remove the uncertainty. We wish you a good time and remain with kind regards from cochem
