Germanic hotel with heavy wooden light colored furniture. Our room had adjacent seating room. Elevator. Nice dining room with 10 euro breakfast. Staff speak English. Indoor pool. A 30 minute walk along the Mosel to city square.

The hotel, built on a hill is cobbled together from separate dwellings which perhaps justifies the 'Panorama' in the title. Reception is efficient but less inclined to help you with your luggage. There is a lift and a very small pool. The rooms are oldly worldly but functional. Wifi is meagre. The restaurant has potential whilst in the capable hands of the German waitress who loved to try out her English on us. Frank is less friendly - when the salad buffet looked tired at 7:45pm he was not prepared to refresh it, leaving a somewhat sad impression (the restaurant is open till 9:30pm). Therefore, on the third night we ventured out (15 mins) a picturesque walkway (mind the bikes) along the Moselle, always in view of the marvellous castle, to Cochem where there is a plethora of restaurants who want to feed you and look after you. Local wines are reasonable at the Panorama and the food is generally OK.

First this remark: contrary to the name, you don't get any panoramic view on the Mosel river from the hotel, at least not in that part where we were staying.
But that doesn't diminish the qualities of this hotel:
- clean
- very friendly, multilingual staff
- cosy lounge bar and garden
- good food with a choice from 3 courses every evening
- on sunday you get bubbles for breakfast
- a very nice pool, but alas a bit small
- very spacious and beautiful room
- a 20 minutes walk away from Cochem center

Room tip: go for a room with a balcony, ours was without one and that was a shame because of the nice weather

People are really friendly and the time spend in this hotel becomes very nice.
The place is quiet, clean and very well placed to discover Cochem, the Mosel and the Eifel regions.
Good breakfast and diner. Great swimming pool inside the hotel with warm water.
Few people are speaking foreign langages (english or french) but it is enough for the communication.
Globaly very good journey in Cochem Moselromantik Hotel.

Very impressed with the genuine kindness the staff handles guests. If you can't speak German, they speak/understand Dutch and English also. The property seems very well maintained and I was pleasantly surprised with the large room size. We booked a renovated room. The beds were comfortable, there was a sitting room area, bathroom with shower and separated bath and double sinks and the toilet was separate room.
We stayed in room 61 which also has a clear view on the Mosel. There are a view parkingspots available and the distance towards Cochem town is a bit further than a kilometre. There are frequent trainrides to Trier or Koblenz.
Breakfast is in buffet form and there's enough choice in fruits, cereals, bread and eggs. Dinner is a set menu where you can pick one of three options. I really enjoyed, dinner was served nice and hot and good portions (not too small or big).

Since March is low season, there wasn't much going on in Cochem and many stores weren't even opened on Friday afternoon.
As we are relative young people, compared to the average visitor, we felt other guests somewhat frowned upon our stay. But not the staff, they were very kind.
