First time in Aschaffenburg. Town with more than 65k inhabitants and a lot of roundabouts. Hotel has typical German style. Standard room was quite small, but with working table. I found earplugs on the table for comfortable sleep. Breakfast was very tasty. One problem - small parking.

The rooms here are not large (by US standards) but they are quite comfortable. There is plenty of hot water in the shower. The breakfast buffet was amazing! It includes all types of traditional German fare as well as scrambled eggs and bacon. There is also a restaurant here with a menu that includes wild game but you can also enjoy bratwurst and sauerkraut. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the Palace, a major attraction. There are two small parking lots that of course are best suited for small cars. All of the staff that we interacted with were friendly and spoke English.

The friendly staff checked us in fairly quickly.

This old hotel has some charm, but not in the rooms. Our room was basic, with dated furnishings. The bed was back achingly firm and, unfortunately, had only feather pillows--not good for allergy sufferers. There were power outlets at each nightstand--great for charging phones and devices at bedside! There was a minibar/mini-fridge.

The bathroom was adequate, with a shower (only) that had mold; housekeeping needs to spend the time to give it a good scrubbing. The shower water pressure was good and the hot water stayed hot. The magnifying mirror was a nice touch. The bathroom had a hair dryer.

The free WiFi was, unfortunately, intermittent during our stay. Hotels really must provide their guests with stable WiFi. The hotel has a small, open-air parking lot.

We've stayed here before and probably will have to stay here again, as it seems the best option in town.

I spent more than 30 mights in Aschaffenburg for the last 5 years for business : Wildermann Hotel is the best compromise.
Regarding the price, the room are small and old but it's clean.
Restaurant is not the best, you should go out for dinner.
Sauna is OK.
