Spent a weekend there with my wife. We were both very happy - it is a very charming, small (16 rooms only) hotel. Very kind and helpful staff.
Nice room, modern bathroom, pleanty of cupboard space.
Excellent breakfast.
Murnau is a great place, great walks within (walking-) minutes from the town center. nice lakes with lovely bathing beaches.

Room Tip: Take a walk around Froschhauser Lake - 90 minutes, lovely!

we stayed there for 4 nights a wedding. The rooms are very clean and ours was quite large. It's right in the city center so ideal location. It's very quiet.
The amenities are quite limited in the room. There is parking available for free which is quite nice. I would recommend to stay there if you have planned a lot of activities (walking, sight seeing, ..)

I stayed in Murnau with my granddaughter for two days. The staff is incredibly helpful. Our room was on the first floor and it was quiet. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was good. Orders are taken for eggs so they are freshly cooked. We left our adaptor at a previous hotel and was immediately given one. There were two negatives. There is no air conditioning and the room had an antiseptic smell to it. Murnau is old, quaint and charming. Great pedestrian street and great restaurants.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a lower floor if going in the summer as the hotel is not air conditioned

We spent 6 nights at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The owners are very welcoming and helpful, daily info about what's on in town is displayed in Reception (although it is in German!). There is plenty of parking and when we were accidentally issued with a parking ticket, it was immediately taken off us and sorted out without any fuss. The location is central and convenient for all the local restaurants. If you are placed at the front of the hotel you will get some street noise both morning and evening (although Murnau isn't an especially noisy place, in summer the bars and restaurants have outside seating and once a week there is an early street market). The room was spotlessly clean, there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe (always a plus for us!) and the bathroom was equipped with sufficient towels, hairdryer and toiletries. When we were there it was very hot and the complimentary water (renewed each day) was very welcome. We enjoyed the breakfast, which included a range of fruits, nuts, salami, meats, eggs, cheese, jam and breads with hot options also available. There was free wi-fi although we found the signal weak in the bedroom. Murnau is a good base for exploring the local area and provided plenty of choice of eateries and we found the local people very friendly.

This hotel is in the heart of the city, with easy walking to restaurants, shops and museums. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the shower was really good. The breakfast, which is included, had a good variety of foods and the service was excellent. The hotel is an historic building and was quite charming. We were sorry there was only one chair in the room, which was fairly small. I would stay here again as the good by far outweighs the few small concerns.

Room Tip: There was some noise from the street-so a room on the other side of the hotel might have been quieter.
