Even though I was born not to far away I had never been there. Good thing I decided to be a tourist for a few hours. The dom is well worth a visit. From the outside it looks simple and I was quite surprised to find it beautifully, richly decorated inside. I went on a weekday and some school kids had a field day, but it was not a bother, actually I could listen in to the lectures they got.
Don't miss to go down to the crypt where Korbinian's remains are stored.
There is also a library and museum which I did not visit.
The dom is located on a hill, not to bad a walk from the town center.

Outside of this church looks simple and not much attractive. Once you step in. it was gorgeous and beautiful. Took a cab from airport straight to here during our 5 hour lay over. It is on top of hill, so it was easy downhill walk to browse town after this.

Large Cathedral however its a bit of an uphill walk from the town luckily a short one. The Dom is accessible to the public for free and it includes a large ecclesiastical Museum. Careful there is talk of the museum closing or relocating in the near future.

I was just out for a walk and dropped in. It is spectacular - so many interesting areas to see. Very few people were there. Don't miss it.

This church has got something, I've seen many churches across the world but I just fell in love with this one. Been there a couple of times and wish to go back, it's absolutely beautiful.
