Stayed here for two nights, the hotel looks very elegant from the website photos and from outside. However from the inside it is very old designed rooms. Not worth the price, it is right in the city centre but I did not find this as an advantage unless travelling by train. No parking space available at the hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of June. Having arrived from Basel by train, we were delighted to find that we just needed to cross the road to the Hotel Halm. Despite this, there was no discernible noise from the trains. The Hotel is about 3 minutes to the lake from which ferries run to all the lovely towns around beautiful Bodensee. Our room (on the top floor) had amazing views of the lake and was really large and well-furnished including a three piece suite. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and the price was very reasonable. We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel if we were ever in the area again.

Room Tip: Top floor superior rooms with a view!

Very centrally located in Konstanz, this hotel has clean, comfortable but small air conditioned renovated rooms in the upper floors. Breakfast is varied and plentiful with the usual assortment of fruit, cheese, meat and bread. Service at the reception and dining room is variable ranging from professional but civil or aloof to warm and friendly. Dining room is large and beautiful. The bar is rather small and dark.

The third place we visited this summer was Konstanz in Germany . We took the train from Interlaken to Konstanz.
We chose Halm Konstanz Hotel to stay at, where we had booked two superior rooms for 3 nights from 02/07/2017. These rooms were air conditioned with lake view. The hotel was really worth staying. The rooms were clean with safe boxes and free Wi-Fi was available. The restaurant was beautiful and breakfast was very good with a lot of different kinds of food, drinks, sweets and fruits.
It is across from the train station and close to the old town, shopping centers and restaurants.

Room Tip: Standard rooms have not air condition , but the superior rooms have it.

The hotel was located directly across from the "busy" train station, ferry and bus depot and a 10 min. walk to the lake shore and accompanying park and harbor, hosting their prized satirical lady of the night sculpture, "Imperia" by Peter Lenk. Additionally this area has several great places to dine, all with with great views for people watching or of the harbor. Our room on the 4th floor had central A/C and heat and was very clean and modern with stocked refrig and very modern bath with bidet and shower but the room was tight. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful but getting ice for the room appeared to be an unwelcome task. The hotel restaurant was the corner piece of the hotel; a beautifully decorated room with Moroccan themed decor where they serve a fantastically complete breakfast buffet. We also dined at the restaurant and my seafood entree was was excellent. My only neutral observation was the bar area, which while being lovely was dark and cramped and the outside area was on the busy / noisy street, again across from the train. They did had a lovely outdoor seating area on the 1.5 floor that could have enhanced into a great lounge alfresco dining area but it was forgotten and needed TLC. As an add-on, I recommend HaffenHale in the park which had great food and value. FYI, the park also hosts live music at it's band shell 3 times a week. Go dance and enjoy the ambiance of the lake and surrounds. Also a significant indoor shopping mall a block away.
