We were lucky enough to have a room with a view over Badenweiler and it was stunning. This is a fabulous hotel with the most welcoming host. Loved to see the concept of an honesty bar in this hotel. Will definitely come back for another visit

We are a couple and we stayed in this amazing Balance hotel for our Black Forest trip.
What we liked in the hotel is actually everything but especially the quiet the location the amazing breakfast and the most the high level service of the each and every worker in the hotel.
We stayed in a standard room which was nice and big enough and which have a balcony to the Feng shui garden.
The hotel is situated in a very quiet town of thermal water treatments in the south west part of the black forest half an hour to 45 minutes from every attraction nearby and very close to road 5 hi-way. It is very close also to Colmar town in the French part nearby.
In the town you can find a variety restaurants.
In nutshell the hotel is amazing and we would highly recommend visitors to stay in this hotel

Village was. Delightful many restaurants and bars. Tour of castle ruins was extremely interesting and enjoyable. I would have given hotel 5 stars except wi if was not good, could not get on line to do business. Hotel was elegant. Staff was very agreeable and helpful. Breakfast was good. Parking was available. Elevator was available. We will return to this hotel on our next trip in 3 years. Our room had a small terrace that we enjoyed. Really loved this village.

The room was nice and quiet, but that was it.
The night we arrived it was raining heavily and it was already dark. So we took the only place we could find to park the car pretty close to the entrance. The next morning the owner asked me in a very unfriendly way to remove my car, because it was her parking lot we occupied. There was no sign at all showing that.....
We booked the hotel together with a yoga lesson ( and because of that). The Yoga lesson was cancelled on the very day, because the yoga room was occupied by a group of people and no other room was available... The owner of the hotel, a Swiss lady, accused one of her staff members who wasn' t even there, in a very rude way and did not even apologize. She offered two glasses of sparkling wine for dinner instead.
Next day we had booked a massage and the lady who did the massage was a little late. Again the owner behaved in a very rude manner towards her staff and kept shouting at her although we were standing beside her.

Ich bin freundlich auf Sie zugegangen als ich fragte ob es sich um Ihr Kennzeichen handeln würde. Ihrer Mutter habe ich angeboten, dass sie gerne den Parkplatz meiner Mitarbeiterin benutzen dürfte, da diese zur Zeit im Urlaub war. Der zweite Punkt den Sie verfälscht darstellen ist die Geschichte mit der verpassten Yoga-Stunde und der darauffolgenden Massage. Nicht ich sondern Sie kamen sehr verärgert auf mich zu und machten mich dafür verantwortlich, dass Ihre geplante Session aufgrund eines Yoga-Kurses abgesagt werden musste. Ich versuchte zu erklären, dass es unserer Mitarbeiterin bei der Buchung entgangen wäre, dass eine Doppelbesetzung vorliegen würde. Ich habe mich herzlichst bei Ihnen entschuldigt und wie Sie erwähnen ein Gläschen Sekt angeboten. Sie ließen anschließend verlauten, dass Sie nur hoffen, dass wenigsten die Massagen durchgeführt würden. Als ich dann eine weitere Reklamation von Ihnen entgegen nehmen durfte, da die Therapeutin nicht zeitlich anwesend war, habe ich unserer Mitarbeiterin tatsächlich kurz ins Gewissen geredet. First i would like to mention that i did not actually stay at the hotel. I am basing my review on the bad service that i got while trying to make a booking. I went through booking.com. We have a dog and it clearly states that they accept pets. So we went ahead and booked and were looking forward to our trip. Next day i received a phone call from the manageress asking us if we had a dog. When i said we did, she told us she would have to cancel our reservation as they already had too many dogs staying at that time. I was very upset by this. So be warned all dog owners, seems that they are not very dog friendly after all despite their claims.

Ich rate deshalb allen Gästen, nicht über Booking.com zu buchen sondern direkt anzufragen und das Anliegen vorzutragen. Wenn man rechtzeitig mit der Anfrage kommt, hat man auch gute Chancen ein hundefreundliches Zimmer zu bekommen.
