The living area for 4 to 5 people is spacious and the cottage is equipped to a high standard and it is very quiet and peaceful location. The only issue we had is the heating seemed to have a mind of its own and didn't come on when it should have (as stated in the information guide) and appeared to come on in the middle of the night as it was roasting in the early hours of the morning and the underfloor heating seemed to work better in some rooms than others.
The cottage is dog friendly and the owners could be contacted easily if needed.
Fantastic place to stay and beautiful area so quiet and pleasant stay the restaurant was perfect and the very polite and helpful wouldnt stay anywhere else and best place to stay as beamish just mins down the road
Our second visit to this charming little cottage, very comfy and clean.
The cottage has a warming to it, friendly is how I describe this place with fabulous views over the fells and what a joy to see Red Kites of a morning from the orangery, whilst having your breakfast, a Dog friendly cottage will stone tiled floors, but also heated flooring to boot, our family pooch loved it, No need to worry about getting the carpet dirty after a long walk across the fields, (mop provided for easy cleaning if required).
Well equipped kitchen, loved the range cooker.
Dinning at the pub is a must the Black horse also dog friendly, then a short stroll down the bank, back to the cottage after a few beers, fabulous.
