I took my three boys to The Fairways for two nights in October so we could visit Beamish museum.
The owner Andy text useful information the day before we were due there. There was no stress at all and the apartment was bright, warm and welcoming.
Everything was thought of from washing up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar. Every utensil you could possibly need and he was on hand to help with any queries we had.
A very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend The Fairways.
The boys loved being able to play outside in the garden and there are lots of choices for places to eat round about.

My Wife and I traveled with friends for the GNR on Sunday the 11th Sept
i cannot recommend this place enough its very spacious, clean and an excellent price too, as we had left it late booking our accommodation which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we definitely would go back here in an instant.
The owner was very informative to our needs too, and also he was on hand to be contacted at any time!
if you're looking for an apartment to stay in i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

We found The Fairways to be a well-appointed, modern apartment situated in a quiet location. Very reasonably priced. The beds were very comfy, the towels white and fluffy. The owner has taken great care to ensure that everything is to a high standard. When we first walked in it felt like a home, not a holiday let. The tea/coffee and pint of milk in the fridge was very welcome after a long journey.
Communication with the owner, Andy, has always been excellent. He was always very quick to respond to any email. Living locally, he is always on hand to sort out any problem that arises, like resetting the central heating controls after I got myself in a muddle by pressing the wrong buttons, even though directions had been left.
We found it an ideal base. Beamish Museum about half an hours walk away. Plenty of nice walks in the locality. A general store, bakery/pie shop and fish and chip shop in the centre of the village.
I can definitely recommend The Fairways to anyone visiting this area of Durham. You will not be disappointed.
