Yes, it smells like manure (Kinneret has a lot of agriculture around it). Yes, a lot of stray cats (very cute ones) have made the playground into their own personal home/litter box. No, the rooms aren't plush or fancy. But the rooms were fine. The service was good. And the food? The best we had at hotels/kibbutzim/hostels during our 10-day trip in Israel. Especially the breakfast. I looked forward to that breakfast: cubes of feta, yogurt with dill, dried fruits, olives, za'atar toast... (there were things other people enjoyed who wanted a more traditional American breakfast). I loved it. And a view of the Sea of Galilee? I was pretty happy here.

The hotel on the banks of the sea of Gallie is simple but comfortable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only poor experience I had when it took inordinately long to check-in. If only they has planned our group would have checked in in minutes. Even in this difficult situation the front office staff kept their cool and sense of humor. The breakfast was and excellent spread.

Room tip: If in a group budget for delays at check-in

Ideally situated next to the Sea of Galilee this place is currently undergoing renovation to bring their facilities up to date. The rooms are comfortable although the AC is a little noisy. Great food and very pleasant grounds
