Staying in the city of Chillan we drove to the resort for a day visit to meet my cousin who was staying there. The hotel is nice, kind of old. Rooms have a beautiful view. We went for an afternoon walk and as we left the lobby we had to be very careful walking because it was completely covered with ice. My husband slipped and felt on his left side and hit his head. Injured his left arm. Was kind of dizzy for a moment. He was taken to first aid on a stretcher. The place did not have xrays. Nurse had to improvised a sling with a bandage. Doctor was nice. So was the nurse. I had to drive 80 km. (One hour drive)On an icy road to a hospital in the city of Chillan where he was taken care. The scary part is that knowing it is high season and accidents happen the hotel is not prepared for these events. The lobby faces south so it does not receive sunlight. Snow turns into ice. You can not walk. It is very dangerous. They should put some salt to prevent accidents. Also First Aid should be more equipped. Bad experience.

Stayed one night that was enough , views good , food poor, cleanliness poor , glad it was one night. The restaurant offered canteen style service food average , a fair choice but nothing outstanding and not value for money. We stayed out ski season so may be a better winter stay

We went to this hotel for a break of 3 days to enjoy nature and hikes around the mountains. This hotel is big with all the equipment you need to relax: swimming pool, sauna, hammam, gym.beautiful view on the mountains if you pay for an extra charge: worth it because other bedrooms are facing the parking. Reception: poor welcome the first day even if we speak Spanish.staff are not motivated, not really smiling and not at the guests service like they should be. Only the concierge helped us well with finding a horse riding trip the next morning.
Our bedroom was confortable even if the decoration is from the 80's. Breakfast buffet is nice, a lot of choice. At the bar: it was a cold atmosphere never a fire even if they have a big cheminnee, no ambiance. We enjoyed the thermal pool and the sauna even if the cleanness wasn't perfect.
The facilities in general seem a bit worn out but are still ok.
Boutique: cold welcome again, not postcards which is a pity when we are foreigners. Room service: a real disaster, we ordered two Cesar salads, quite a simple dish, that arrived 45 min later. The portions were very small (we could see the bottom of the plate through the salad..)..). After complaining to the reception we received one additional salad for free that had nothing to do with the previous ones: well dressed with more than 5 pieces of chicken...
About the activities around the hotel, we did a hike to the fumerolles at the top of the mountain nearby (3 hrs back and forth). A pity there is no map of the area available at the hotel.
Dining options: better to choose simple diner outside at 6 km down the road at the "chill' in" restaurant or at "Jamon Pan y Vino" for price. No coffee available if you check-out before 8:00am, hour of the opening of the breakfast at restaurant. Receptionist at check out seemed a little sleepy. If the hotel want to have more international customers, they should really train their staff better.

Going to the market was a highlight of Chillan City, as well as visiting the famous church, We went to the Termas de Chillan, very good experience, only thing was the shower facilities not up to standard, they were blocked and dirty, the lunch on the other hand was amazing, the food was fantastic and the service very good

Room Tip: The shower facilities in the dressing room near the pools was not to standard, the showers were blocked and dirty.

Wonderful place to stay. Good staff. Good facility. Mineral water spa was wonderful.
Food in all restaurants visited was excellent. Helpful friendly people even if you don't speak Spanish. We could have had more snow, but you can't control the weather.
