This is a charming homely family run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Good little bar with live music twice each week. Peter and Vicky deserve special mention for looking after me so well after I injured my knee skiing. They also arranged to send on some luggage which we left behind inadvertently. Highly recommend
After staying at this hotel for the last few years I decided to organise a large trip for 18 people of different levels of skiing. The hotel/ amenities and especially the staff were amazing. Valeriia and Vicky are so helpful and make your stay a great experience. Every staff member from housekeeping/ chefs and the bar staff (Sam) are great. All my guests enjoyed their time and are looking to book next year.
We stayed for a weekend at the beginning of feb school holidays.
The staff were incredible they go above and beyond to accommodate every request, hence the rating.
However a few things let this hotel down:
Pillows - awful, rock hard.
The TV in our rooms was broken, we only found out when we got back to our room on the last, by which point it was too late to do anything about.
The rooms are very dark, it can be tricky to do makeup.
Not a fan of having to pay extra for the spa as an in house guest, surely this should be factored into the nightly rate?
Also we didn’t have enough space to get clothes out of our case.
They had locked draws taking up a lot of space in the room which we presume is used for storage for regulars!?

Could not rate this place higher. Low key but so friendly and well maintained. The perfect place for a chilled out break. Not the poshest place around but who wants that?! It was warm, welcoming and friendly and the bar and breakfast were good, the rooms massive and lovely and the bed was so comfy. Hot shower / bath at all times and close to the slopes and village. I literally couldn’t fault it.
Managed to squeeze in a three night visit to Les Gets and as always, received a very warm welcome from Pete and the team at Chamois d’Or.
Check in is quick and efficient and we were in and out of the room and ready to go skiing within 15mins of arrival.
Our room was spacious, the bed large and very comfortable, and the bathroom faultless.
Plenty of choice for a cooked breakfast or traditional local pastries, cheeses and charcuterie.
The bar in the evening is lively with great live music too from time to time.
Fantastic visit. We’ll be back soon.
