Review of Le Nagano

Managed to find 2 last minute rooms here when everywhere seemed booked. From beginning to end the owners and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Great location, very close to chavannes lift, nice rooms, good brek although the room was a little cold, pool, sauna etc. Very good

We've just returned from a 5 day ski break and we stayed at the Nagano. From arrival, the reception was very very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a very efficient lift, from bedroom floors down to the boot room and spa. We had a duplex room, with 3 single beds and a large balcony, with an upstairs double room which could be very private. The beds were comfortable. There was a separate toilet which was good as 4 adults were sharing the room, there was space, we didn't feel crowded. The lounge area is really nice, with comfortable couches and a lovely log fire. The dining area was small, but a good breakfast with cooked items plus lots of pastries and breads, fruit and yoghurts. The outdoor pool has a cover over it so that you can use it all year. It was lovely and warm with a large jacuzzi within the pool area. The other spa facilities included a hammam, sauna, steam room and a further hot tub as well as relaxation area and shower, toilet facilities. The hotel also supplies dressing gowns and slippers. There are two massive play/games areas, a 'toddler' area which is very equipped with lots of toys and a huge teenage games room with loads of electronic games and pool table and ping pong table. Plenty of space for anyone. The boot room had direct access to outside and is right next to the slopes, just across a narrow road. Housekeeping was good, changing towels every day and tidying the rooms. There was a fridge and cutlery and we could've had a full kitchenette too, but opted to eat out. We had a great view of the slopes. It was peaceful and quiet at night. Really a good hotel.

This was our first family skiing trip and we wanted a convenient location with easy slope access. This hotel was perfect. You couldn’t get much closer to the ski school and slopes and with ski hire next door to top it off.
The hotel room was cozy and clean with a modern bathroom.
The pool was great after a day on the slopes with hot tubs and saunas for adults with tired ski legs!
The food was exceptional! Most nights was a 5 star feast...bravo to the chef! It was a delight to see our children so interested in the variety of food on offer. Our waitress was lovely and chatty as were all the hotel staff. It’s a friendly, family run hotel with the sons teaching at ESF ski school.
We have had a fantastic holiday in Les Gets and despite the lack of snowfall for a couple of weeks we have been very impressed with the amount of snow on the slopes and the way the slopes are maintained and kept open and running.
ESF were a great ski school for both my children and myself as a sort of beginner (having not skied for 15 years!).
We have already reserved a week for next season we’ve been so impressed. Many thanks to all for enabling our children to start their skiing journey and get the bug!

The snow lingered (and continued to fall) over Easter 2018, making this a superb location to access both a ski rental store next door, and Les Chavannes cable car and chair lift little more than 100 metres away. It's only a slight exaggeration to say that you could ski down to within metres of the hotel.

We were much delayed on the motorway from Geneva and arriving at midnight the hotel was in darkness. The owners showed the first signs of their genuine hospitality despite being woken up and being asked for an access code. They were always quick to greet us and help with any issues during our stay. Breakfast was comprehensive (buffet) with what seemed like a significant amount of the food being home made. Really nice.

We had four young children with us, so we took maximum advantage of the lovely indoor pool and hot tub to amuse them in the afternoons post skiing. There's a separate "adults only" hot tub, sauna and fitness room with complimentary hot drinks and pastries on the next level down. The boys also liked the games room in the evenings though we very quickly got through our supply of Euro coins!

I stayed in a family room - a mezzanine with open wooden stairs above two small boys and their father. It was a little basic being in the roof space, with no place to hang things. I understand the standard rooms are better so please read other reviews. The small bathroom was well equipped.

I recommend this hotel - my only reason for not marking Excellent is because we chose to sleep "en famille" and thus the extra room wasn't as comfortable or convenient as I would have preferred. They certainly made you feel like valued guests.

Room tip: Think twice about a family room if the budget allows!

Hotel is in a fab location, staff running it are efficient and helpful. We had two rooms, a double which was very nice and a family room that slept 4 which was more basic. 5 minute walk to the slopes, surrounded by bars and restaurants - couldn’t fault it there. Howver, our bed linen and towels were probably the cheapest and smallest I have ever encountered in my decades of staying in hotels all over the world. The bath towels (although there was no bath) did not wrap round us and were thin and threadbare - really let the hotel down. For specifics we were in Room 22 (3 of us).

Thank you so much everyone at Le Nagano.

We returned today from a wonderful week. Such lovely people running and working at the hotel. Ten out of ten. Great pool and facilities.

Very central location both good and bad; ace for chairlift and restaurants - not so great for street noise in the early hours!
