We've just returned from a 5 day ski break and we stayed at the Nagano. From arrival, the reception was very very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a very efficient lift, from bedroom floors down to the boot room and spa. We had a duplex room, with 3 single beds and a large balcony, with an upstairs double room which could be very private. The beds were comfortable. There was a separate toilet which was good as 4 adults were sharing the room, there was space, we didn't feel crowded. The lounge area is really nice, with comfortable couches and a lovely log fire. The dining area was small, but a good breakfast with cooked items plus lots of pastries and breads, fruit and yoghurts. The outdoor pool has a cover over it so that you can use it all year. It was lovely and warm with a large jacuzzi within the pool area. The other spa facilities included a hammam, sauna, steam room and a further hot tub as well as relaxation area and shower, toilet facilities. The hotel also supplies dressing gowns and slippers. There are two massive play/games areas, a 'toddler' area which is very equipped with lots of toys and a huge teenage games room with loads of electronic games and pool table and ping pong table. Plenty of space for anyone. The boot room had direct access to outside and is right next to the slopes, just across a narrow road. Housekeeping was good, changing towels every day and tidying the rooms. There was a fridge and cutlery and we could've had a full kitchenette too, but opted to eat out. We had a great view of the slopes. It was peaceful and quiet at night. Really a good hotel.
