“A relaxing stay”

We had a wonderful stay at this villa in Le Palis. We were fortunate to have really good weather so we could make full use of the pool everyday. It is a very spacious villa and very well equipped. It is surrounded by vineyards and is situated in a very peaceful spot but only a few miles from Vaison where there are several supermarkets and restaurants. There are also many markets which are held in the surrounding villages.
Thank you to Sylviane, the housekeeper who gave us such a warm welcome.
We hope to return in the future.

“Paradise in Provence”

Found this lovely little piece of French paradise by chance on the Internet 8 years ago and we have returned every year since.

What brings us back? Endless views of vines, the Dentelles and Mont Ventoux while floating on air mattesses in the pool.

There are many terrific places to eat in the area but often we love to buy the local produce, fire up the grill, pour a local Cote du Rhone
and dine outside while watching the setting sun against the mountains.

We love the solitude and yet are just a couple minutes from the village of Villedeau where we often settle into a table in the town square and enjoy a glass of Rose as we watch life unfold in this ancient village.

We come back here year after year to leave our hectic lives behind, slow down and get to know each other again.

Wonderful walks to be had. Wonderful wine to be savored.
Wonderful memories to be cherished.

“Lovely location, great outside space”

We stayed at Le Palis for 2 weeks in June, and had a lovely relaxing holiday. The location is perfect - situated in a small hamlet among the vineyards, yet only 4km from Vaison-la-Romaine. The house itself is suitable for a family or a group of friends, having 2 twin and one double room with ensuite shower. Be aware that the double room that is shown in the photos is closed off to guests and the double that we stayed in was considerably smaller. We found all the bedrooms to be quite dark as the shutters were closed and we were unable to open them, but they were cool as a result. Le Palis was an ideal base for our cycling holiday. The garden and pool area with views towards Mont Ventoux were perfect for relaxing after our bike rides. We stored our bikes in the large garage and there was plenty of room for washing and drying our clothes. There were some lovely cycle routes through the neighbouring villages. The local housekeeper is very charming and helpful, although she does not speak any English so be prepared to start speaking French as soon as your arrive! Vaison is a charming town with nice restaurants and shops, and a huge weekly market. We will definitely return to this area again and would be happy to stay at Le Palis.
