We stayed at the Vila de la Mar for 3 days to have a home base for visiting the Camargue. It is a short walk to town from this hotel, and 15-30 minutes to the ponds where we photographed the Camargue horses.
This is a wonderful hotel! The rooms are lovely, with polished stone floors and faux antique paneling. Each room has a mini-bar, hair dryer, espresso maker, and a balcony. The beds are ultra-comfortable...everything in the room is luxurious. The hotel also has a pool and spa. Best of all, the staff are exceptionally nice and helpful.
The only reason I did not give the hotel 5 stars is that, although the food was very good, the dinner menu was specialized Japanese-French cuisine without more traditional choices. Breakfast was excellent, however, and there are restaurants nearby for dining outside the hotel.More
