This was the perfect place to stay in Cassis. It is centrally located, a few minutes walk down the hill to the port of Cassis and a 20 min walk to the first Calanques. More important was the welcoming staff. Nicolas was especially helpful with helping us organize activities and with helping my husband with production for a professional photoshoot. The rooms are modern and clean and the breakfast has everything you can desire. We were there for 5 nights and are looking forward to returning.

The hotel is located uphill from the port so it is close to everything. It's about a 15-minute walk to the shuttle bus stop for the train station. We were given a brand new room (#11) so everything was very fresh and clean. The room had a very small balcony and a nice view of the forest.It was a bit of a tight squeeze in the room, but there was lots of space in the open bathroom area which had separate shower and toilet areas. They did neglect a few details such as anywhere to hang towels. The hotel also has a swimming pool with loungers and a nice view. We were very happy with our stay there.

On arrival, we were greeted by Nicholas, who was excellent. He sorted parking despite some inconsiderate parking by people taking up two spaces for their 'ordinary' sized cars. We were then given a choice of two rooms. Stay was really good. The rooms were kept lovely and clean by the staff throughout. All in all, a very easy recommend in a beautiful part of the world.

A special Thank You to Nicholas. Why? As I mentioned, his service was excellent throughout and if we add to this,he was excellent with our daughter, a young lady with learning disabilities. I can tell you from experience, not all are anywhere near as good. 5 stars to this young man⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Thank You Nicholas

Could not really fault the hotel. Nicely placed, just a short walk from the port and all the restaurants. Within walking distance of the pretty national park (30 minutes or so up the hill then a circular walk from there is possible).

Reception was great and even printed my rugby tickets for the weekend game in Toulon that we had just purchased on line.

The room was a bit small but fine for our needs. The bathroom again small but clean (although the shower screen did leak quite badly). Tea and coffee in the room, a large safe and a quiet night.

There is limited parking which may be a problem at busier times of the year.

In January 2018, we booked online and payed in advance for two nights in a standard room at Best Western Hotel La Rade,1st and 2nd March 2018.
On the 23rd February six days before the date of our reservation, the weather forecast for the region became extreme, (40 cms of snow), we contacted the hotel by email to advise them that we would not be able to travel on that date, asking them if they could postpone the date to a later time.
We were assured by the receptionist by telephone that the date could be changed to a later date subject to availability.and a credit would certainly be possible.
He advised us to contact them again at a later date to arrange a new booking.
When we contacted them, they then denied that this was the agreement made with the receptionist, we were in fact being treated as a 'no show'.
The commercial representative contacted us and stated that the very best they could do was that we pay again for the two nights!
The Manager refused to make direct contact with us preferring to hide behind the commercial representative!
This is at best - gross incompetence, at worst - downright dishonest!
Having payed in advance and then informed them in advance, it should have been straightforward to send us a credit for the original booking.
At no time did we receive any communication regarding a credit.
The telephone conversation with the receptionist and the verbal agreement made at that point was not honoured.
To discover that we had lost our money (181.00 Euros) was a huge disappointment.

Room Tip: Any changes or cancellations - make sure you get agreement in writing or be prepared to lose your money!
