Going out to Uk a fortnight ago, I was very unimpressed by the Ibis Budget at Lesquin. I said at the time this was odd, so on my way back into Europe I specifically found another in the area.
My faith in Accor was fully restored.

I know they serve a purpose and i booked it,but this a deeply depressing stay in a godawful hotel with nothing much around it. We had a triple room, with the crafty bunk above the double. My elder son slept there, to get down he had to use the slippy ladder, he couldn't fall far as the wall was only 40cm from his bed (both sides). This was all fine until the room became hot, there was no safety device on the window, meaning that were he to clamber down in the night he stood a very real chance of falling out. So guess what? we stayed in a small humid room. A blessing in disguise as we managed to get breakfast when it was warm and left before 0800. The tall girl on reception was very helpful though!

Stopped here for the Paris-Roubaix challenge and to watch the pro race. The hotel is looking a bit old and dated and is in need of refurbishment really. The distance is good for the event though and it has the basics you need as in a bed and bathroom but don't expect too many home comforts or much space in the room. Be aware a 3 person room means a single bunk and a large double bed with about a 50cm gap around the bed

We have stayed in several Ibis hotels, of all standards, this was the worst. If this had been my first Ibis budget experience, we would never return to this brand. Staff and breakfast were fine. room was poor, no air extraction on shower room, so mouldy and damp. Needs a thorough clean.

Stayed here while watching Wales during euro16. This is a budget hotel so you get what you pay for. Rooms are small with a double bunk and a tiny bathroom. The hotel is a fair bit out from the city centre so taxis are needed. Hotel got us taxis no problem but getting back at end of night is not so simple.
