The reviews run hot and cold for Palomilla's which might be cause for concern. My experience here was very good, and I was happy I tried it. Will definitively return.
Even though it was lunch, a generous portion of delicious roast pork with cooked onions was served with a side of black beans and rice along with sweet plantains. The food was NOT overly salted as normal with other Cuban restaurants. I finished with a strong Cuban coffee having a hint of sugar and sprinkled with cinnamon. Such a good meal would be expected in a higher end establishment.
Very good service and an accommodating dining room made for a relaxing lunch. For warmer weather, there is also covered outdoor seating. Background Latin music from various countries was continuously played. Again, I was very glad I tried Palomilla's.
