After reading the previous review we turned up for our stay with some trepidation.
OK the place is shabby and could do with a bit of a makeover, but it was clean and comfortable. It was not expensive and I guess you get what you pay for. Also the location is great for exploring Rutland.
The shower is still leaking, but we are told that it is shortly to be replaced. Thankfully we were not visited by cockroach critters. It's a bit sparse and could do with a bit more 'stuff' like mirrors in all the bedrooms and a potato masher!
All in all, not the most amazing cottage we've stayed in, but perfectly adequate and certainly not the hammer house of horrors we were expecting.More
