We had lunch at the Poisson D'or on our wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a table overlooking the River Saone.

The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent.

We both had the river fish, Sandre (Zander or Pike-Perch) on a thoroughly original bed of mashed potato and a variety of other vegetables, including nettles.

This restaurant seems to be well aware of drink driving laws and has a good range of half bottles of good wines.

For nice summer days this restaurant offers the best location for a wonderful lunch.
We enjoyed the terrace table enjoying the view at the river Saone and great local specialty ,"friture"...small river fish crispy fried..served only in summer.
The service is very friendly and the lady chef speaks English as well!
The deserts are very special and we enjoyed our lunch with two guests from USA very much.

Others have covered this excellent establishment many times over, my wife and I can only echo these sentiments. From the delicious and innovative amuse bouche to begin with through our excellent fresh salmon and prawn entrée with quinoa taboule the flavours were subtle, the presentation first rate and innovative. We had mains of fresh seared tuna with wafer thin green and yellow corgette for my wife and I the carre de veau with girolles and a yellow wine sauce, the veal was the most tender I have ever had anywhere - simply excellent. The desserts again innovative with a crème brulee with pistache for one and a white chocolate with strawberry and thick cream and side of cassis sorbet.....wonderful. The wine list is extensive with a great emphasis on Burgundy and why not, some of the regions best examples are on offer even if it's little on the expensive side, eating this well deserves a good wine. can't wait to return.

We visited this restaurant on a saturday evening and were very friendly welcomed. The food on offer was very good and the price was good. We were seated at an excellent table with a free view over the (unfortunately, probably due to the weather) very quiet river. Al the wat through diner the service and food was good and all turned in to above and beyond when at the end of our meal no taxi could be found to bring us back to our hotel. The owners were so embarresed that thee chef himself took it upon him to drive us back. What a treat!
But it's best to drive there yourself (it just outside the centre) because taxis here are a rip-off if available. But don't take that out on this great restaurant..

A very nice modern dining room with spacious tables. The service : as a starred restaurant. The "Foie gras" is excellent and the Turbot very well cooked: "un grand plat". Classical desserts. The wine - Macon Loche 2014" - is without interest, but fortunately ,you have the choice among a lot of Macon area wines.
