This restaurant is situated on the quayside of the Saone. Particularly present is the sheltered terrace on the river side of the restaurant. They offer a menu du jour which is good value and good quality at lunchtimes. A la carte as well. Wine prices quite good too.
In general a pleasant place to eat, especially for a lunch.

I ate here on my way to the south of France. The burger they have is very very good, the "oeuf en meurette" wasn't quite as good the wine sauce didn't have a grate taste. If you need a quick meal visit here.

This restaurant appears not to cook, merrely to heat up food from cans and catering packs. The salad chevre chaud was dull and dry. The 16 euro scallop salad was large, loads of lettuce, canned beans, some bits that may have been bacon, and 7 scallops all lacking in either texture or flavour, no doubt from a catering pack. If you must eat here, whatever you do avoid the grande salade vegetariennne - again loads of lettuce dressed with what looked like custard, a sliced underrripe tomato, a few slices of pepper, large heaps of canned carrots, canned beans, canned ratatouille, canned spinach, and a pile of under-cooked potato gatin. (If the veg weren't canned, they certainly tasted it.) It was so unappetising we left most of it. The service was too rapid, the main course arriving as soon as the entree was cleared away. The waitress did not enquire why we had left so much food. The wine was too expensive. Even on the veranda, the noise of traffic speeding along the quai was unavoidable, sitting outside would be unpleasant.

We ate the conservatory at the front of the building by the river. The place was very busy. The set menus were good value and featured regional dishes such as beef bourgeon. Good wine list including local produce. The warm goats cheese salad was tasty. Overall an enjoyable meal.

Another stop in Macon meant I could eat at my fav restaurant. Lovely salad starter, Beef Bourgigion to die for and delicious Creme Brûlée. Bliss I was replete!
