I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, but this was the first since it was under new management. I always liked it because it was old fashioned and typically French and quirky. It has been updated and painting the old wooden cladding has certainly brightened up the bedrooms. The essence of the old building is still there and I hope that any more modernisation is done in a sympathetic way.
The addition of the conservatory, has made a pleasant seating area and it is possible to make use of the garden, which is ideal if you have children with you. We had a very pleasant stay,as the staff were very welcoming. The hotel does not have its own car park, but there is free on road parking or a public car park a five minute walk away.
We had room 12 on the first floor, it had a double and single bed and an en-suite toilet and bidet, with a shared shower next door. We did not try the breakfast as it was an additional 9 euros per person and we thought this a little bit expensive. The room itself was approx. £51, which was very reasonable .We will definitely be visiting again.More
