Walked into this place by accident, on this wonderfull summer day. The bay was turqoise, lots of small boats, sun was shining, and we were looking for a beer on a terrace water hole. Then the eye caught the menue outside this restaurant - and the craving for seafood came instantly! Duo of crab with rasberry vinegar, ray with lemon butter sauce, and sorbet, and to top it off a good white Burgundy wine. Perfect location, service, food! Some times one get lucky!

Location, location, location. Nothing can beat this Hôtel if you are in Brittany and care more about nature walks and climbs than a fancy hotel. It is a 15 minute drive out of town where plenty of restaurants and fresh oysters can be had at the bayside wall for 5€ a dozen. Crazy good. The attached restaurant is very good, but pricy. The seafood plate is impressive, but it is steamed, chilled and not particularly tasty if you are accustomed to warm and delectable seafood. This is a good summer option. Our friend ordered a lovely skate fish meal that was stellar and cheaper. Order a Chefy meal, and you will be happy. Breakfast is sparse and pricy. No eggs or buffet. Bread and coffee only. But both were stellar. The shower and bed are nice, but the room takes time to warm up on a cold windy day. It is an older Hôtel that reminds me of Faulty Towers, but with kind owners who speak French. It is clean, comfortable and in the best location imaginable. I suspect they will continue to improve and update the rooms over time. Surely a family venture.

The terrace of the Hotel Restaurant Pointe du Grouin is favourite, mostly for the amazing location and sutnning view over the Emerald Coast and Mont Saint Michel Bay. Bar offerings are limited, the restaurant food is basic, but fresh and well prepared. Have never stayed in the rooms, though they look a little outdated, but the location is unbeatable if you prefer an isolated stay in nature.

Very good overall experience at this hotel, based on location, views, walks, hikes, etc... Those are the most important elements, everything else is secondary: rooms, etc... A few quick notes: in August the requirement is half board and the restaurant is quite nice so not a downside but does limit if you are looking for greater choice.

The Hotel has a super location with one of the most beautiful views I have seen in Brittany! Just the view is worth a trip. We a their biggest room with a large terrace towards the sea. The room was OK not great but again the view. The bath room was small and our neighbors seemed to hear us every time we went there!

Room tip: Rooms with sea view
