Hotel Princesse Flore is a great hotel fabulously located in stylish Royat, Clermont-Ferrand France. The staff are friendly and efficient and tend to your every need. The rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and have large modern bathrooms with quality products and bath robes. Underground parking is available (daily fee) and there is an adjoining spa complex, on-site restaraunt and bars (including one on the rooftop). Public transport is closeby, as are local restaraunts, boulangerie-patisseries, supermarket (with beautiful croissants and other French produce) and parklands. Just 15 km away is Puy de Dôme volcano National Park, easily reached in 30 minutes by public bus from the stop outside the hotel, is well worth a visit for amazing walks and stunning views. Highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy!

We had a very nice overnight stay in this very fine hotel on our travels. An old building thoroughly modernized. Lovely room with a comfortable bd and a balcony overlooking the hills of Royat, a suburb of Clermond Ferand. The restaurant Flèche D'Argent served a very nice dinner, and the food very fine and reasonably priced wines. Parking a little difficult the parking lot behind the hotel, but an enjoyable stay.

What was a truly fantastic hotel is now a little tired for 5 stars. The spa is no longer included in the price and has gone down hill since our last visit.
The service in the bar was sporadic at best and the restaurant had no menus in English and only one waiter who made a great job of trying to translate for us. He was the highlight of our stay.

I booked 2 nights through Expedia and the receptionist told us that was the reason why our room was not much bigger than a cupboard. Telling me if I had booked direct we would have been given a much better room. Doubt if we will ever visit again.

Discovered on Trip Advisor, I booked and stayed 3 nights in this wonderful property. Not far from city center of Clermont Ferrand, spacious rooms with all necessary amenities. Quiet, clean and with very nice and helpful hotel staff. Will surely stay here again. Thank you very much

After a slightly gruelling stay in a very “earthy” gite in the South of France we arrived, exhausted, at this stylish, fin-de-siecle hotel to a warm welcome and an easy check-in. This hotel is so easy to stay in. A comfortable room, with a comfy double sofa bed for our 2 children. We had the most delicious meal in the roof top restaurant. The children were given a lovely reception and treated so respectfully. My 8 year old son said his steak was the “best he’s ever tasted (but don’t tell our butcher!)” Our waitress was fab and had a good understanding of the menu for my husband, who is coeliac.
The children then had an unexpected treat of child friendly bathroom toiletries and child sized bath robes and slippers for our visit to the spa next door.
Some good advice given regarding supper on a Sunday night in France and we had another decent meal in the casino near the hotel. However, the roof top meal was the highlight. If we head to this area again, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room tip: Our junior suite was perfect for a family of 4 with young children (under 10 years)
