Maison Millage is literally the last place at the end of the road but only 10 minute drive to Orolon St. Marie. Our hostess, Béatrice, has put together a wonderful B&B, a warm and charming setting. When we awoke on our first day we looked out our window and in the distance are the Pyrenees Mountains. It was one of our highlights on our 6 weeks in Europe.

We stayed for 4 nights as part of an extensive driving holiday in France. After initial difficulties in finding the place, resolved by a very nice local who asked us to follow him to the house. Initial thoughts were oh dear, but Beatrice and the property immediately grows on you and you begin to relax. As previous reviewers have said, Beatrice makes this place and I would highly recommend a stay here. It's an easy drive into Oloron and Pau, both of which warrant a visit. Pau more so than Oloron.
An evening wine looking over the mountains here is hard to beat.

We stayed here for 2 nights - our plan was for one but car trouble led to our stay being extended! We arrive very late one of our cars having broken down on the motorway. Beatrice was fab - helpful and understanding! The house is in an amazing spot, beautiful gardens and fabulous views! On morning one Beatrice came to our rescue after we discovered we had a flat battery on our remaining car - she was there with the jump leads to sort us out!! Breakfast was lovely - would recommend this little gem to anyone seeking a room with a view and a bit of peace and quiet!

We stayed here for 2 nites and its a nice place. Beatrice is very welcoming and has very clean and modern accommodations. She has some nice dogs and cats if you like pets. The breakfast is a very simple one with bread, homemade jams and yogurt. The second day we got great croissants. Not the greatest coffee...it seems like a tea place. Nicely located in the countryside a few kilometers outside Oloron. Find the village of Faget and follow the signs.

On a five week trip through the Pyrenees, we had many amazing adventures, great day hikes, excellent food, lovely places to stay, and met many delightful people. Our four night stay at Maison Millage included all of the above. The rural setting has a picture-perfect house, beautiful gardens, pond, outdoor & indoor eating areas that are lovely. Our room & shower were very nice, overlooking the superb setting with views of the mountains. But the true "draw" is Beatrice, who has a gift for making everyone feel comfortable, and is very knowledgable about the area -- she herself is a hiker. The evenings when Beatrice cooks dinner are fantastic, with lively conversations, and everyone trying to speak & understand each others' languages, (somehow always easier after a few glasses of wine). A true highlight of a fabulous trip!
