We visited this because of the combined tickets offer with the train museum next door.

Great idea! The best part was the demonstration show in which the guests could even attend. I tested the Faraday cage given 100 000 V !

For our fortune, one of the temporary exhibitions was science for children where were a lot to see and test.

An interesting place but not more, not a must but a can. Don't forget to see the show about electrostatic effects.

As we were curious we had to discover this Museum, we have done it and we are a bit disappointed.

Not enough fun, too much similar things. For us it was too much kind of sad and boring.

The parts we did appreciate was the ones with electric stuff from the fifties / sixties etc... But it was rather because of their incredible design.

The main parts are overall not our cup of tea. We do appreciate Museums but this one not that much.

We came to Mulhouse to see the Car and Train Museums. This one rates number 4 on Trip Advisor and is next door the Train Museum so we thought why not. Ok. It's not terrible and includes a very impressive huge machine from the 1930's used locally for Electricity. But apart from that, most of the infomation given would be covered in any Science museum in larger cities. We stayed for just under an hour. Had a look around. Tried some of the demos and read some of the information on hand. (Not great for English speaking).
The staff were very nice and the place itself very well laid out. They have taken a great deal of time to try to make it as interesting as possible.
However after Trains and Cars in the same day, it would take a lot to keep you interested.

The museum is nice to visit with children, it has lots of interesting toys for them, plus some demonstration for Faraday Cage and Electrostatic tension, overall interesting- and JUST IN FRENCH. There are also some nice toys and games close to the exit of the museum to explain electricity for small kids, also very entertaining. The museum is screening an old movie- propaganda style, WW2 propaganda style-serious guys, the movie is old, boring and poorly made, not to say also very long. It is translated in French, English and German. I would avoid wasting the time with the movie, I would go straight for the tour and the toys at the end.
