We have stayed here 3 or 4 times before and would definitely recommend the hotel for its wonderful views, great situation and friendly staff. It is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town but is away from all the hustle and bustle of the town in a relatively quiet and charming area, wonderful to watch sailing boats in the bay whilst enjoying breakfast on the pretty garden terrace.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony to enjoy either the sea views or, equally nice, the garden and hillside views.

First thing to note is that 3-star hotels dominate Calvi, and so not a lot of options above this. And with Saint Erasme I wouldn't bother looking further and if we return to Calvi then I'd hope to come back to the hotel. Great location about 10mins walk from the town centre, lovely views out to sea and the lighthouse, the rooms are quiet and well furnished, and the staff are very friendly. My top tip would be to walk from the hotel down to A Mara beach and then follow around to the lighthouse - it is a 3-4hr walk there and back and sensational all the way!

We stayed for a week at Saint Erasme. Really liked Calvi, walk to and from the hotel to the centre absolutely fine and we regularly did it there and back daily including our children (7 and 6) without a problem. Amazing view from our hotel room (207). Reasonably spacious for a family of 4 and lovely big terrace. Breakfast all good. Pool area lovely. Unfortunately it got a bit windy towards the end of our stay but that wasn't the hotels fault! They made restaurant reservations for us and were very helpful throughout. Good levels of cleanliness. Wouldn't be suitable for infirm individuals. Would be helpful to have had a non slip mat for the bath.

We unfortunately stayed only for one night. The receptionist was a very nice lady. When we asked for a good restaurant in the area she proposed immediately (without we asking for it) to make reservations for us. She made an excellent choice at a nearby restaurant at the harbor in Calvi (10-15 min walk).
Prior to going to the restauran we took a drink on our balcony adjacent to our room with the whole family (7 in total) enjoying the sun set.
It was a bloddy hot night (26°C), as the hotel was fully booked the airco was not able to make the room cold enough.
Nevertheless a great experience.

Room Tip: Take a room with a view !

This hotel is run more like a pension than a normal hotel. Very simple breakfast, plain rooms. As many of the hotels in Corsica, extremely overpriced. The curly nice polish lady in the receptions is both friendly and helpful, in contrary to the two french reception staff. They basicly have the classic french attitude, which is mostly arrogant and less helpful/serviceminded.

Hotel Le Saint Erasme falls into a big category of hotels in Corsica. Overprised and very basic.

But the location is great. Short walk into the city, in reasonable distance to the life in Calvi.
