Had a great day here. Family very helpful & knowledgeable that run it. Great with my children, my son being disabled. Made us feel very welcome, farrier was there the day we went, also great with the children and a "spot on" farrier. Great value for money, will definitely visit again. Shires were gently giants, great ambassadors for the breed working with the general public.

Thank you for your review of your visit to our farm Maddie - the first in our 25th anniversary year of 2018!

We're really pleased that your whole family enjoyed their visit with us and that you were warmly welcomed by us all! You were in good fortune to visit when Katie the farrier was in town - always an added bonus on the timetable!

We look forward to welcoming you again to our farm in the near future!

We were five adults with one (horse mad) nearly 3 year old. Right from the start we were made to feel so welcome, Mark greeted us and began to tell us all about his farm and it was clear straight away to see his passion for the farm. There was so much to do on the farm and my daughter had the most amazing time, from grooming a pony to the cute carousel ride. The highlight of the day however had to be the shire horse cart ride in which Claire let her hold the reigns, ah experience that will stay with her for a long time. We enjoyed the good honest food served in the cafe and speaking to Mark's mum. We didn't get a chance to I eat the cakes there but did take away a few scones which we enjoyed at the beach later.

This is a working farm and therefore isn't as polished as folly farm, but the hands-on personal feel made our visit here feel more special. A big thanks to Mark and his team from all of our family and I would sincerely recommend a visit to anyone with a young child who loves animals.

Thank you James for your super review! It's lovely to read such comments as yours as our efforts to give our visitors a great day out is rewarded!

You clearly made the most of the activities that we have on offer and as you say, we are not Folly Farm - there's no point in us competing against the different level of day out that they provide because what they do, they do brilliantly! But what we can offer by contrast as you say, is a more personal experience on a traditional Welsh family farm with a story to tell.

Please do spread the word and do visit us again in the future!

Went early November, was very quiet but owner ensured we had a lovely time, real personal touch and genuine passion for the horses. We really appreciated everything they did to ensure our toddler enjoyed herself. A really lovely family day.

Thank you for your review. We seek to give as personal a touch as possible to all of our visitors and whilst it is of course quieter in November what that means is that we could give you more attention!

We're really pleased that you all enjoyed your visit and we hope that you will visit us again in the future.

What a lovely day out. Fascinating talks about the Shire horses and particularly about Celt (or should I say Mercury). So much to do a the farm with carriage rides and tractor rides. Lovely cafe area serving rather delicious food. The family loved it

Thank you for your positive review Kerry! It's great that you enjoyed the rides and the food served up in our popular cafe which of course is named after our unique little story that is Celt the Drumhorse!

We found a leaflet for Dyfed Shire Horse Farm by chance and as we both love animals, especially horses, we planned a visit. Wasn't sure quite what to expect but upon arrival found the staff very friendly and informative. We were happy to pay the admission price as we felt we were contributing to the upkeep of these magificent animals. We also enjoyed seeing the llamas and rare breed sheep. We ate at the cafe, which we found reasonably priced and the food good quality. Enjoyed the tractor ride along with the commentary about the history of the farm, the family and the landscape. Missed out on the cart ride because we were running out of time. Would definitely return if we are in the area again - especially to see Eddie! Wellies are recommended as it can get a bit muddy in the fields.

Thank you Angela for taking the time to write a lovely review of your visit to our farm!

You clearly took made the most of our active timetable and it's greatly appreciated to read of your enthusiasm for the family story that we tell with passion to our visitors!

You're quite right on the wellies front, when it rains in west Wales which it has been known to do, it can get a little sticky so a bit of footwear back-up never goes amiss!

Ed has just returned from his debut at the National Championships where he did us proud so we hope to see you again so you can see his rosette and have a ride in the horse and cart that you missed last time!
