We stayed for a night and found it outdated and expensive. We didn't get the right room, but they helped us with that pretty quickly. The reception is understaffed, but the staff were friendly when you could get hold of them. The food was pretty poor and priced on the high side. They need to slash their prices and give the place a face lift. On a positive note the bar had a nice busy buzz to it.

There is nothing to love or hate about this place. Everything is just OK. Reception was unattended as the staff were busy in the bar, and boy were they busy that day with several functions on-going. No smile but they may have been a tad over-stretched so we'll make allowances.

The room was large, possibly unnecessarily so. The TV was an antique CRT but worked, not that there was much to watch. The bathroom was also big with enough towels, but these may have seen better (plumper) days. Toiletries were in bottles that were easy to use but of no great quality. Noise intrusion was slight but occasionally noticeable.

Breakfast was a mix of buffet and served hot food all of which was fine.

Overall its OK but not somewhere I make an effort to visit.

Situated on the road between Wexford and New Ross its an ideal spot to stop for a bite to eat . The bar / resturant lacks atmosphere but menu choice and cost is reasonable. Waiting staff are good . Ample car parking available.

Have been visiting the Horse and Hounds for nearly 20 years and would highly recommend it. Rooms are spacious, clean and on the same level. Food is delicious. The staff are really friendly. Brendan is always keen to greet us. Brendan has done a lot to the hotel in the many years to a very high quality. It's well worth a visit and highly recommended.
