We sought out this restaurant from Tripadvisor reviews and was a good 30 minute walk from our hotel. We received a very warm welcome and on a Monday night the restaurant soon filled up.

Complimentary Prosecco is a lovely touch as was dessert wine at the end. One starter was amazing, carpaccio of beef with truffle - could eat that every night! The selection of fish appetisers was very attractive but underdelivered in taste sadly.

We both had the man course of tuna tempura and it was a bit stodgy to be honest. One tuna was perfectly cooked but one was very very rare as it was a larger piece.

Other dishes around us looked excellent, we should have gone for the pasta!

The restaurant was buzzy, had a great atmosphere and staff were charming. Wines were excellent too and sensibly priced.

We would go back but would pick different dishes, apart from the gorgeous carpaccio!

We were last here in May and loved it, so one always wonders was it a lucky first time or is it the real thing. It is definitely the real thing. The food is excellent, fresh, traditional with a twist (scallops on pumpkin cream with mushrooms), and great friendly service. It is small so a reservation is necessary. The prices are in line with good food as is the wine list. It is hard to beat this for the quality and price. The diners are mainly local (a good sign) and we have no criticism of anything. Enjoy.

After a disappointing meal on the main seafront on our first night in Viareggio me and my partner decided to head away from the seafront for our night time meals. So glad we started with this place, superb wine and beer, I had a fantastic burger meal while my wife had a lovely pasta dish, I was so full from the burger that unfortunately had to pass on dessert tho. Would of probably visited again before we went home if it wasn’t closed for a few days

This is a lovely little restaurant! Wonderfully polite and helpful staff and mainly delicious food. Would have gone the full 5 stars but the tuna tempura was not perfect... the batter was way too thick and therefore uncooked in most parts. I understand why though as the tuna was actually perfection...tender, rare and succulent. So if you look on the batter purely as a way of maintaining the succulence of the fish then job done! But it was undercooked unfortunately except for where it was very thin. However EVERYTHING else was absolutely superb, and the semifredo was utterly divine! Highly recommend this restaurant, but just not the tuna! Loved getting the bill in a little cardboard suitcase too...really sweet!

The owner / host could not have been more welcoming. We had carpaccio with shaved truffles, prawns in a tempura batter and 2 pastas and a semifredo. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Total bill with a bottle of Rose and complimentary Prosecco and Amaro was less than 80 Euro.
