It is rated as a 3 star but it is a full 4star hotel for the quality of the people, the rooms, the restaurant and of course the wonderful location.
Good for holidas as well fir business and shopping in Lombardy and Piedmont.

We stayed at Vecchia Riva 4 nights with teenager kids in two connected rooms. Hotel located near lake and we had fabulous lake view. Rooms big, nice decorated and modern. Big shower in the bathrooms.
Hotel guests can go free of charge to public swimming pool and for small fee to fitness located nearby.
Hotel staff all very nice and helpful. Breakfast adequate.
Is was a lot of mosquito , but we were provided with special electronic device to move them out .
We didn't have a dinner at hotel restaurant, but it is very busy in the evenings, which is good sign.
Varese nice town and Sacro Monte Di Varese must be visited .
We definitely will come back to this hotel for the long stay in the future .
this hotel is located near the lake of Varese. very nice view. the rooms ore comfortable and the restaurant is good. i was a business-guest. the surroundings is quiet. and it is a little far from the town center.
The hotel is modern and fairly large, spacious and clean. It's conveniently located for those travelling by public transport from the centre of town, with a bus stop a few hundred metres away. It is just metres from the lake, the park and the start of the bike track round the lake. You can hire a bike at the hotel for just 10 euros for the day. The restaurant is light and modern with an excellent buffet breakfast and anti pasto buffet for dinner as well as a la crate menu. My room featured a balcony with wonderful views of the sunset over the lake and the shower was great. Oddly, there were no drawers in the bedroom, just a large wardrobe. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed in this hotel for one night. It is located just next to nice lake, near is also swimming pool which is free for hotel guests, we didn't go to the swimming pool. Our room was ok. We even got a bag of local candy well, the slot for card for electricity broke down, but they tried to fix it, the bad side was that then we either had all the lights on or all the lights off. Receptionist was very nice and breakfast was tasteful.
Due to flight delay, we never arrived for our 1 night stay till gone 1am, & were just happy we could still check in.
It wasn't until the next morning, we realised we hadn't got the Lake view room we'd payed for! Such a shame, as the Lake was wonderful.
Breakfast the next day was continental, & more than enough to choose from. We'd definitely stay again though, it was a nice area.
