This is a 1950’s tired Hotel, across the road from the railway and having a new apartment block being built across the road.

Full of young families with pre school aged children...in a tired Hotel needing a top to toe renovation.

Nice welcoming staff, however this is what you’ll find here.

I didn’t even take photos

We booked this hotel through booking.com and did not know what to expect as we had not been to Varazze before.
We were not disappointed. We all agreed as a party of 5 adults in two rooms that we would give this little friendly hotel a rating of 5, some might not agree due to the decor or facilities but we based it more on our experience and the fact the staff couldn’t do enough for us.
As five females we felt very safe, the hotel is in a great location and 2 minutes from the marina and seafront. There is a supermarket close by and lots of choices for food. The underpass is not as daunting as we thought it would be but if you don’t like it you can walk an alternative way.
We had breakfast in the hotel one morning and it was a continental but with good choices. The manager even made me runny eggs as I don’t like cold hard boiled ones.
He also printed off maps and train times and helped us plan our journey to Portofino, definitely worth a visit, we took a train from Varazze - hotel is 1 minute away and then we got a ferry across to Portofino from Santa Margherita train station, highly recommend.
We have only arrived home today but we all said we would return, very few English and most of the menus are in Italian but they are very welcoming at the hotel and the town and genuinely want you to enjoy it there. Added bonus is that gelato is amazing here!
Highly recommend the hotel and Varazze.

Stayed here for a week late October. Excellent location as just a short walk from the train station, the marina and Old Town. The hotel is dated but clean. The shower in my room was quite small. Due to the time of year, only breakfast was available. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Dog friendly.

Room Tip: Rooms on south side face the train station and the pool and there is some noise from the station and pool may be noisy during summer months.

Stayed here for a couple nights and would definitely use again if visiting Varazze. The hotel may be a little dated, but it is clean and everything is kept to a good standard. Can't really criticise it at all.

Our room was one of the cheapest, and therefore smallest with a compact bathroom, but it had just be refurbished and was perfectly functional for our needs.

Some have said the rooms are dark, but this is only because of the typical Italian shutters in place to keep them cool, you can open these if you want, but I wouldn't bother. The air con is good too.

Above all, the staff were lovely, very polite and accommodating and spoke English well.

We stayed a few night at the hotel just near the station. Our room was OK - perhaps a little small and an odd shape - probably the result of an old building but the bed, furnishings, bathroom etc were all excellent. The pool out front was good and largely empty (this was late season) . The walk to the old town was a few minutes -use the underpass. The staff were very helpful in what seemed to be a family hotel. We had breakfast which was also very good with lots of choice and as much as you could eat. The other clients were a mix of holiday makers and business types...mostly italian i think. The noise didnt worry us or wake us. However though we got a good rate from booking.com - the rate was getting towards expensive for what it was - but still a good place to stay.

Room Tip: maybe the rooms at the back are quieter
