We have visited this restaurant many many times over the years, and have never once been disappointed. They have been using the same dough as base/yeast for years, and the crust is just fabulous, as well as the choices. (The fluffy goat cheese toping is always delicious!)
And we have gradually discovered that everything else on the menu is equally good, from the antipasti to the first courses, the meat dishes, and the tuna steak (maybe the only restaurant in Tuscany where they know how to cook tuna). The local is scenic and the cool hill air makes for pleasant outside dining in the summer. With four rooms and outdoor seating, you can usually find a table even for a large group, despite the large presence of locals and families.
For the quality of the meals, the value is enough to cover the cost of a taxi if you do not have a car to get there.
