The people working in this hotel were so kind and helpful. Their courtesy service picked up from the town of Selva and drove us to the hotel. So it is possible to get to Selva by public transport from Bolzano.......one doesnt need a car.
Whilst our room was basic and comfortable, it did not have a view of the snow, but we were able to get WiFi access unlike some other guests in the hotel who had to sit in the shared area and lounge area.
The hotel is located in a perfectly beautiful location and you do not need to be able to speak Italian to stay in this hotel........
A free ticket (given to us by reception) for travel between the villages made getting out in the late afternoon to the Christmas markets in the small villages on the bus route a perfect addition to our visit.
The food in the hotel was excellent and the staff in the dining room were very attentive and helpful. We had the same table so we felt it was a bit like home.
Breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety to chose from to suit most Anglo European taste. Bacon and eggs were cooked to order and style!
We had the same waiter for the whole of our stay who did nothing but make sure every request we made was accommodated. At breakfast we were given the evening menu so we could each make our selection of entrée, main and dessert. Every night the menu was different and there were many south Tyrol dishes to try.....and the food plate presentation was wonderful. Also before the meal service began there was a large buffet of delicious antipasto to choose from.
Our special Christmas eve dinner was superb.
The only disappointment was that we could get no English television channel as most of the television channels were in Italian.....so we felt quite isolated from what was going on in the rest of the world.......and of course had no media entertainment because the hotel was largely setup for Italian speakers and also German speakers. Access to English media would have made our stay perfect.
Even though there was no snow for the whole of the week we were there, the main slopes were groomed with good quality machine made snow and skiing was good for intermediate skiing. BUT a word of warning just be careful buying lift tickets as the local lift operator told us we could not buy a five day ticket with one day break.......sold us three days and told us we would have to buy 2 days separately.
We thoroughly recommend this hotel and are looking forward to going back.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the slopes then choose your room wisely Also if you want WIFI access in your room choose your room wisely

My girlfriend and I stayed in Hotel Meisuels for 4 nights as a base for doing Via Farrata in the local area.

Room

We chose an economy room which was small and basic (as you'd expect) but there was plenty of room for the two of us and it had everything that we needed, we especially liked the large amount of storage space in the room. The room also had access to a shared balcony which had an awesome view. There were also larger rooms available for people who want more space

Food

The food was excellent! When we booked we had been worried that we'd get bored of the food in the evening being half-board but we needn't have worried. Breakfast was a continental buffet with eggs available on request. Dinner each night was a 3 course affair, with a 2 or 3 options for each course which changed each night. The food was excellently cooked and even though we'd been out climbing all day there was always plenty to fill us up!

Service & other facilities

The service from all the hotel staff was excellent and they were fluent in English, Italian, German and French. WIFI was provided free and we never had a problem with connecting wherever we were in the hotel. There was also plenty of space for relaxing in the evening outside of your room with common rooms on different levels, however in the summer sun it was nicer to be out on the veranda with a beer from the hotel bar in the evenings! Even though we were out of the ski season there was clearly plenty place for ski storage.

Location

We chose Plan De Gralba as a base as it relatively high up in the dolomites so we wouldn't have to drive too far each day. This worked well, but apart from hotels and ski lifts there isn't much else in Plan de Gralba which meant we had to make the 5/10 min drive down to Selva a couple of times to pick up supplies. However this was a welcome price to pay as we were out of the bustle of Selva and the views from the hotel were infinitely better.

While we had the luxury of a car it would have been possible to do our journeys by bus and the hotel offered free week bus passes

All in all we had a great time at Hotel Meisules and would happily stay there again when we come back to the area!

The staff was extremely friendly ( e. Beatrice) and the food and wine selection in the restaurant was excellent. Room was spotless. Good position to hiking. The standard was better than 4 star hotels I have stayed in previously. I recommend this wonderful hotel!

We stayed here for one week in March for a weeks skiing. We stayed in an economy room, small but plenty big enough as we were out all day and spent most of the evening eating in the fabulous restaurant. Half board was four courses, with a huge range of salads to start and then the usual three courses after that. Great variety of food with wide choice both at breakfast and dinner. Staff in the hotel were absolutely fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. The customer was king/queen here. The room, great shower, plenty of hot water, hairdryer in room and a range of toiletries. Room was kept spotless. The position of the hotel is above the actual town , very close to the skiing, a very short walk. The skiing is extensive. Nothing much local to do except local bars but by the timed dinner was finished we were ready for a night cap and bed due to tiredness of limbs! My only criticism would be the coffee which, on reflection we should have asked for espresso or latte from their coffee machine and paid the difference. We are just so fussy about our coffee - a minor niggle because everything else was superb. We would stay again, very, very good.

Room Tip: Economy rooms have huge balconies which were lovely to sit out on in the early evening.
