Progresso is a sea front old hotel, 100+ years old, rooms are pretty small but ok, showers are very small, but you can survive considering that is just 20m from the sea. Breakfast is very poor, only some little pastry, 1 type of ham and cheese (only a few slices) and boiled eggs (you can ask for omelets if you want. They could add a few stuff and improve breakfast and i think it will improve hotel ratings a lot. Overall is good considering this position, very close to the sea and city center.

Room Tip: book a superior seaview room, this must be bigger and has a terrance

The hotel is on the attractive Lungamare and fits beautifully amongst the the upmarket hotels and residences on this tree lined street overlooking the sea. The hotel is an attractive historic building that is furnished tastefully and appropriately to highlight its features; the appealing lobby and staircase, the 14' ceilings in the bedrooms etc. The room was spacious enough with king bed. The drapes are attractive and decorative around the two large French windows while the modern electronic blinds ensure privacy and effective light control. We had a large balcony overlooking the Lungamre and the sea. The reception staff were very courteous and helpful. Free parking available in the street right outside the hotel (and covered parking also avaialble). Free wifi. A wonderful breakfast with variety including eggs, cheeses, fruit, pastries etc and cappucino. We took the hotel's sugestion of dinner at "La Croisette", a short walk away. A superb meal, not to be missed. We stayed one night but would have been happy to have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor have bigger balconies. Rooms on the second floor have a better view of the sea. Ask for the large corner balcony on first floor.
