We have just returned from a stay at this hotel as part of national holidays. We were very undecided about booking due to the length of the journey however we were so pleased we booked. The hotel was good , nice room, a choice of food for evening meal, no water with meal unless you buy it though. The scenery on the journey was lovely once we got to switzerland with all the mountains etc and our drivers Ken and Jordan were so pleasant and helpful. It would be nice to stay at this hotel when the weather is hotter and you could use the pool, but for mid october it was quite warm every day . The trips national take you on are excellent and you get to see this beautiful part of Italy. We would definetly use this hotel again.

Travelled to Lake Garda with National Holidays, even with the overnight stop in Metz it was extremely gruelling. Peter and Mike our drivers were ok but clearly a power struggle going on between them both. We unfortunately got an old room which was very basic but ok. Unfortunately after purchasing uk adaptors before we travelled these could not be used as the old rooms needed different adaptors which you get from the reception (5 euro deposit each ) crazy!!
Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Evening meal was ok but not to everyone's taste with a lack of meat variety or veg. Hotel does not even provide a basic jug of water with the evening meal this had to be paid for!!
The Hotel overall was basic but you get what you pay for if you're going on a cheap holiday then you can't expect luxury!
The drivers seemed to want to keep the hoteliers more happy than their customers.
Lake Garda itself is spectacular and would recommend a visit but not necessarily through National Holidays.

Stayed for 6 nights on a National Holidays trip. This family-run hotel is located 15 minutes walk from Lake Garda. It is clean and tidy, the staff are helpful and friendly. Stayed on a half-board basis and the food was very good. Room was spacious and air conditioned, with a small balcony and a mountain view. Great location for visiting the surrounding area.

Travelled with National Holidays to Lake Garda and returned home Sunday 23rd Sept.
Peter & Mike our drivers were very good, Mike just learning the ropes.
Journey both ways excellent & new coaches with USB chargers are fantastic. Overnight in Campanile in Metz ( near railway station), has a good bar and nice restaurant.
Breakfast at the Virgilio is usually 7.30 - 9.30am and I have to say is excellent. Lovely fresh breads, fruit, meats, cheeses, cereals, toast & lovely jams etc plus gorgeous cakes.
Some rooms have been reburbished the remainder will be over the winter. Ours was an old room but perfectly acceptable, nice balcony overlooking the mountains, bathroom small but fine for us. Free safe, just ask reception for key, we did no bother at all.
Air con was great, only downside no tea & coffee facilities in room.
Lovely pool area, extremely clean with lovely modern sun beds and nice Jacuzzi.
Evening meal was at 7pm prompt every night. You choose each evening what you want for the next evening.
I have to say food is just okay, for us too much pork every night. No veg either, even the spaghetti Bol was pork mince, would have liked more fish to choose and more beef and chicken available. Salad bar is lovely, all very fresh, soups are lovely. Desserts hit & miss, usually ice cream or a cream based cake, no choice for dessert.
Gala evening is a Thursday and great fun, hog roast ( pork again), it was Delicious and plenty of spuds with it. Tiramisu was lovely and this was the best meal. Chap plays an electric organ and singing & dancing ensues... good fun.
The free bar was 8am - 11am, local beer, wine and soft drinks plus tea/coffee, good value and the wine was perfectly acceptable. It’s glass for glass so each glass has to be taken back to gain another drink, bit of a pain really.
Free bicycle hire is available as is a tour of their bicycle museum.
Overall a most enjoyable stay, but too much pork on an evening, more choice needed.
Drivers very accommodating and helpful but they did like you too “their” additional tours.

We stayed in May 2018 as part of a National Holiday, this was our second visit. The hotel is run by a lovely family, Kevin barman & Anna restaurant staff, cleaners are so friendly helpful, we had the biggest hugs when they recognised us. The hotel has some improvements done , our room 106 was absolutely gorgeous, disco lights in shower! Lovely decor, comfy beds very clean. Food was excellent, breakfast & evening meal. Entertainment on Weds was great, singer had whole hotel dancing & singing including our coach driver Tony. Lovely how family come out to wave us on our journey home & yes there were plenty of tears! We will return for a 3rd visit such a wonderful hotel.
