Climb up the steps to this little gem. Lovely views over the valley and sea set the atmosphere for a very nice dinner., We have had either lunch or dinner each time we have visited over the past 10 years and have rarely been disappointed. I started with rabbit ravioli , which was very rich although a smallish portion, and finished with giant grilled prawns, both simply wonderful. Our group variously also had stuffed zucchini, grilled chicken, lasagne and rabbit casserole, all raved about. The dinner was washed down with lovely wine and accompanied, as always, by excellent service. We did have to ask for our order of salad greens for the table as they had forgotten, but it was soon remedied. Always a destination for us, and although we didn't do it this trip, we frequently have a 'fish and Fiano' lunch - superb!.

We love Villa Maria one of the best locations in Ravello with breathtaking views. Add to this superb food prepared from local ingredients many grown in the villas own terraced organic gardens.

It is coeliac heaven with an extensive gluten free menu including a stunning soufflé.

Don't expect it to be cheap particularly the post BREXIT wine prices!

But leave the kids at home sell a kidney and ensure you have drunk at least one bottle of the €100+ Amarone before asking for the cheque!

A 3 course meal for two with an average bottle of wine will cost you €100 but it is worth it.

(You do have two kidneys don't you?)

There is a great view from here, the service was excellent and the food exquisite. Lovely setting in a garden with trees overhead. The food was incredible. The flaming chocolate ball dessert was absolutely amazing. Fantastic restaurant.

Whenever we travel to Ravello, which we did again this summer, we dine as often as possible at Villa Maria. The staff continues to be helpful, friendly and accommodating and the food and service are consistently great. We always enjoy the head waiter and the maitre d. They are two of the most hard working, sincere and committed people you will ever meet in a restaurant.

My guess is that we have been to Villa Maria a couple of dozen times for dinner over the past ten years and have never been disappointed with the food, service or wine. Everything is fabulous so I'm really feeling sorry for those reviewers who somehow got a bad meal here. Agree totally re: the lasagna but the seafood pasta is wonderful as well.

As other reviewers note, the view is very nice and the breeze across the veranda on a warm summer night with music in the distance from the music festival simply can't be beat anywhere in the world.

I find the prices here are actually very reasonable. Certainly not the most expensive restaurant on the coast and far less expensive than similar venues in Positano, Sorrento or even Ravello.

By the way, try Villa Maria for breakfast which is even more wonderful and experience than dinner (well, almost, anyway). Amazingly good buffet with eggs and pancakes which are hard to find in Italy for breakfast in addition to a full European style offering.

We had an amazing lunch here! he views and food were stupendous! This place is the stuff dreams are made of. We indulged in a cappers salad and pizza, and house vino rosso, of course. The perfect stop for a day of Ravello strolling!
