We just completed with my wife and young child some time at Baia Di Nora hotel. As an executive summary I can recommend this hotel. Not everything is perfect but globally we enjoyed our stay (3weeks).
Pluses are:
- village atmosphere, since our room had a view on the nice inner garden
- atmosphere lively and opened to children
- pleasant service and personnel
- nice beach
- clean beach water, appropriate for children
- nice swimming pool
- close to center of Pula (nice village)
- close to Nora fascinating archeological site
- food ok
- good restaurants around...
- only 35 minutes from Cagliari center by car...
- adequate price/quality ratio.

Minor minuses:
- phonic insulation (rooms) could be improved
- garden watering system a bit noisy during the night
- food quality could be somewhat improved for a 4star hotel; it is ok but nothing special
- I don't like chlorine in swimming pools; modern technology allows other cleaning methods...would be worth while trying!

We shall come back anyway, hoping the minuses will have gone!

We searched for a month to find the perfect hotel and we certainly did. Our jaws dropped as we came through reception and saw the beautiful grounds and the lovely buildings surrounding it.
The beach is just passed the grounds and the whole place is quiet and peaceful with just the sound of the birds singing and the trickle of the fountain plus the waves in the distance.
Food was great and entertainment every night. - What more can you ask for?

Room Tip: We had a classic room which didn't have a "garden view" but it still had views over lovely planting.

Having selected Pula as a base and HBDN season after season year after year there must be something magical about the location access to the beach but the real rationale for returning is the very accommodating staff !From the Direzione to the Governance to the chef and the dining teamEveryone in the front office is so accommodating and every member of the key staff are known by their individual names and quirks

Room Tip: Closest to the main server/router hotel rooms need updating as does making sure you book a preferred room number in advance

We stayed here as the last part of our Sardinian trip. The hotel grounds are generally very nice. It was also located next to a lovely beach. Food in the restaurant is good but not amazing. The highlight was a hog roast style meal cooked on an open fire. We are a late 20s early 30s couple and definitely felt a little to young for the hotel. The average age of the guest must have been 60.

We were book here half board. Due to our arrival time we missed food on the first night. The hotel informed us we could use the missed meal as an extra lunch on one of the days. So we were happy. Although I noticed once we were home we had been charged for this. 50 euros. This felt very excessive given that a pizza in the restaurant up the beach was less then 10 euros. None of this would really bother me normally. But I have tried to contact the hotel on a couple of occasions to ask if it could be refunded and have not had any kind of response.

I get the felling there are better hotels in the area.

Dear Mr Wjgerry,

I'm very sorry to answer your kind email only now, but honestly speaking it's a little bit hard for me to remember when you stayed in our hotel: as a matter of fact the data of your comment is the 15th of April of this year while the hotel opened the season 2016 later, on the 5th of May. So probably your comment is refered to your stay in 2015: in this case it's really difficult for me to understand why you decide to write this comment so late.
In any case about your complain I would like to understand better what really happened and why there was this missunderstanding.
So please, I invite you to come again to test new offers.

Best regards,
The Management

We stayed in Baia di Nora at the end of the Italian summer holiday season in August 2015. The hotel complex is beautifully located in the Baia die Nora: Nice beach, crystal clear water and pleasant views on the Torre del Coltellazzo di Nora. The hotel has some sort of a village style with 2 floor buildings build in a local style. As everywhere in Sardinia you need to a car to get around in the surroundings, for a short trip to the close by town of Pula you can borrow/rent a bike.

Overall, we had a good stay but it was overshadowed by a few things which might be specific to the Mediterranean/Italy and the summer holiday season. Mainly the perceived poor value for money but also some old school behaviour, limited customer orientation and old infrastructure

Highlights
- Quite ok room (though a bit dark) situated in a beautiful garden setting
- The beach

Lowlights / room for improvement
- They charged 40 EUR / day half board for a baby <2 years who ate some pasta and had two bottles of milk a day. This was only communicated and charged afterwards
- Good quality food for breakfast and dinner but a bit old fashioned and heavy dishes
- Charge for the beach beds and no food or drinks service at the beach
- Limited flexibility at lunch time: Either one could have a 5 courses menu or then only salad and panini during very limited beach bar opening hours. Meaning, during some time in between breakfast and lunch and then lunch and dinner not food could be ordered at all
- No room service or mini bar

Dear Sirs,
first of all I'd like to thank you for your very kind and constructive review.
I'd like to point out that your holiday at Hotel Baia di Nora was pleasant.
Since your stay was a far ago, almost one year, it is hard for me to understand what happened.
In any case first of all:
we cannot improve room on the beach becouse the local law gives a licence in linear metres depending on the numer of rooms. It means that it doesn't care about the width of the beach that, during the season, could change becouse of coastal storm, and any other extra room is given due to that...thanks to mother earth the size of the beach changes also in a positive sense! About the tariff for the child, I don't know if you booked directly or through an agency but in any case I'm sure that you have been informed about it (the text of our email is standard and it gives always all the instructions about the extras: taxes, beverage, beach beds, bikes and tennis court rental, wellness treatment, excurtions, sea sports equipment....). Service on the beach: there is a tariff list for all the drinks that are served on the beach, hang on the ombrellas. From this season it will be possible to book directly from the phone your drinks, so the service will be faster than it was last year. The bar is open from 10 am to late night. If you ask for a toast or a panino, a fruit salad or an ice - cream you'll be served at any hour. If you don't want to have lunch at the buffet at the Restaurant, you can choose among the salads and other fresh/cold dishes of the menù, available from 12:45 to 15:00 at the bar. The Restaurant is opened, at lunch time, from 13:00 to 14:30.
We don't have room service but every room has it's mini bar.
Again we thank you and we hope to host you another time so we could measure the achievement of our new goals which corresponds to your satisfaction.

Best regards.
