Do you know paradise ? Welcome to Casa Colomba ! Guillermo and his mama Pina are the best ambassadors of the warming Italian welcome. This is the kind of place you want to keep secret to be only yours...

Casa Colomba is perfect for many reasons :
- first, for the kindness of the owners : warm, helpfull, smiling...
- The stunning view on the Positano's bay and Capri : blue everywhere... from the breakfast's terrace and the bedroom...
- the cleanliness of each corner of the place
- The bedroom : lucky me with my private terrace... from the bed, you have an open window on the sea, better than any best movie ever ! The bed and the pillows are perfect. The mini-bar in the bedroom is quite well furnished.
- The private and safe parking : a "treasure" in Praiano
- The little "elevator" for your luggages, a smart idea because without this, it will be quite exhausted... but YOU need to climb steps :)! Don't worry, after 2 days your legs will be used to.
- Breakfast with fresh lemons to press into your glass... home made cake... fruits ... simple and good.

Maybe the bathroom and especially the shower could be more larger but it's not a problem.

Good to know :
- Ladies, bring real shoes and keep your heels at home. For walking in Praiano, go to the beach or go to Casa Colomba, you need to climb thousands of steps !
- Not very appropriate for young childrens or old people, for this reason
- You could not run or cycle on the Amalfi coast... very dangerous ! Prefer walking in the mountains... beautiful view but quite hard
- go to the Gavitella beach : at about 4pm, you can have fun with the watermelon ceremony ;)
- For dinner : 2 good places. Dolce Vista, the restaurant of the Smeraldo Hotel, just above the Casa Colomba : a stunning view on the terrace, very good cooking, kindness of the owners, the best Price/quality of Praiano. And La Strada, in front of Dolce Vista, a nice place with a wonderfull lemon ravioli dish !

Casa Colomba is located in the few last steps to reach paradise... a quiet place where you can rest and enjoy the Amalfi coast or simply the view of your bedroom :)

Thank you again to Guillermo and Pina !

We loved this B and B even though the climb up the stairs was tiring it was so worth it for the peace quiet and the view. We stayed for a week so the climb did get a bit easier and it's great they have a little lift for your luggage. We hired a car but hardly used it as the roads are very busy and narrow and did not make for a relaxing drive and also no where to park when you get to your destination instead we took the bus. We did a lovely boat trip to Capri booked through the hotel we were picked up and dropped off which was great, we visited Pompeii amalafi sorrento. Some really nice local restaurants which we used every evening within walking distance, we had a lovely holiday

The view from the balcony and breakfast area is fantastic overlooking Capri and Positano with sun until late night.
Rooms are very clean with ok standard in the Economy room with bathroom outside. A bit warm But the small fan helped.
Breakfast is nice with good coffee, bread, cake and fresh fruit.
Quit some steps to get up here But worth it. Close to busstop and small shop. Nice owners. We are very satisfied.

My partner and I stayed in Casa Colomba for 4 nights in June and absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is located up some very steep stairs but once you see the view it is worth the climb! We loved the hotel so much we didn't want to leave and ended up eating dinner or having drinks on our balcony most nights to enjoy the view! The staff are very friendly and it feels like staying with family friends, we will definitely stay here on our next trip to the Amalfi coast!

We toured the amalfi coast for 4 days (3 nights) and stayed in a superior room which was HUGE and has the most spectacular balcony with a view that made it worth climbing all those steps for. We looked all over the amalfi coast for a little terrace bar or restaurant where we could sit, have a drink and enjoy the view,  and finally found that nothing rivaled our balcony. In the end we got a bottle of prosecco and enjoyed it on our sunloungers (glasses etc. all available in the little kitchenette of the room/apartment).
Every morning for breakfast there was a different kind of home made cake, each one absolutely delicious. The family running it was incredibly hospitable and their cats, one of which visited us on the balcony, were adorable and very cuddly!

10 out of 10 for everything: location, cleanliness, friendliness, value for money...
