Stayed here with friends during August. Overall I thought the property needed an overhaul. It looks quaint on the photos however they don’t show the broken hinges on the bedroom door or impractical layout of the second bathroom or the broken sun beds. To be honest for the price paid I would expect better.
If you don’t enjoy climbing up steps then this property isn’t for you. From the main road it’s 200+ steps. From the walkway above the property i would guess around 140+ steps over 3 separate descents. Whichever way you are climbing steps. This property was described as wheelchair accessible. It probably is if you are willing to manhandle chair and passenger every time you want to go out.
On arrival you are met at the supermarket and then drag your cases 300-400 metres to the property along a walkway. Motorised scooters can travel up and down the walkway but I wouldn’t recommend it as too many steep drops.
The views from the property are very good however I expect you would get good coastal views from most parts of the town.
I certainly won’t be returning to this property.
We were not aware of how far (1/2 to 3/4 of a mile) our car would be from the villa, and how strenuous the walk (stairs and uphill sidewalks), especially difficult while carrying luggage or groceries in the heat. Even being dropped off by a taxi would still require a significant hike. Having a designated parking spot closer to Tutto per Tutti (ther grocery store) would be desirable, but it's still quite a distance to the villa. Even having a motor scooter or wheelchair would have been impossible to maneuver on the stairs. This reality should be clearly stated in the description.
I have multiple sclerosis and the physical exertion was definitely a problem. I actually tripped on a large crack in the pavement while going to the car, and significantly banged up my knee and foot. Only young, physically fit adults would be able to manage this location.
Once you arrive at the villa, it's beautiful, comfortable and clean. If only you could park or be dropped off at the doorstep! The view from the terrace is magnificent.
