We were not aware of how far (1/2 to 3/4 of a mile) our car would be from the villa, and how strenuous the walk (stairs and uphill sidewalks), especially difficult while carrying luggage or groceries in the heat. Even being dropped off by a taxi would still require a significant hike. Having a designated parking spot closer to Tutto per Tutti (ther grocery store) would be desirable, but it's still quite a distance to the villa. Even having a motor scooter or wheelchair would have been impossible to maneuver on the stairs. This reality should be clearly stated in the description.
I have multiple sclerosis and the physical exertion was definitely a problem. I actually tripped on a large crack in the pavement while going to the car, and significantly banged up my knee and foot. Only young, physically fit adults would be able to manage this location.
Once you arrive at the villa, it's beautiful, comfortable and clean. If only you could park or be dropped off at the doorstep! The view from the terrace is magnificent.
