Located on the smaller beach around the corner from the main beach. Avoid the cruise ship groups by hanging out on this side. Good value. You get a discount if you are staying in one of the friendly local villas.

Coming here in August without pre-booking relegates you to the back rows, which are crammed, which makes it hotter, and have older beds. Boat service back to the main beach is very handy although the walk is not far at all. Food is great, try the tuna salad - delicious!

Our hotel owner told us to go to Grassi Beach Bar because his friend owns the place and they have great food and beverage. We got got chairs in the front row of the beach for a great price (get there early to get good seats). We got granitas and wine with fresh peaches while we lounged, and then we sat on the patio for lunch. Firstly, we were so surprised by how fantastic the food was for a beach bar. The mozzarella was the best we've ever had, the eggplant parmigiana panini was outrageous, and the salad with octopus and tuna was so filling and satisfying. However, the wait staff was so slow and kind of rude...

We stopped for a quick bite. Food was very good... had a salad and a pannini. Service was a bit too slow but... 'when in Rome...'

Considered smarter and better positioned than the busier beach near the port, this beach, like all of the beaches in the region is accessible via steps from the upper levels of Positano.

Cost per day for Lounger and Umbrella is a very reasonable 10 Euros per person which includes a boat transfer to Positano Port which is only a 10 minute walk around the bay.
