Damiani and Rossi is a wonderful fish restaurant located on the beachfront of Porto San Giorgio. The restaurant is upscale, elegant, with nice and modern furniture and tableware. The fish is excellent and best you can find in the surroundings. We ate a millefoglie, layers of smoked savage salmon and potatoes with fantastic sauce, or an amberjack tartare with peach salad, as appetizers, then gnocchi with clams, or spaghetti with mackerel, then fantastic scampi with three sauces, or any kind of fish of the day. At lunch there are also two menus, a menu at 25€ with three courses and another one at 42€ with six courses. Wine selection is great. Prices are high. If you order a-la-carte you would spend easily 60€ for a full course menu excluding beverages. But the quality of the food is worth the visit. At night the restaurant with bottom to top lights provides a very romantic atmosphere. Open all year except some days in Seotember and some days across February / March.

I do not mind paying for quality but it's an insult to pay a lot for food which is simply not good.

We had the risotto with prawns which was really salty and otherwise flavourless.

Our main courses were a bit better but nothing special- grilled monkfish with potatoes, fritto misto and amberjack and zucchini scapece. The zucchini were excellent and the rest just average.

We were surprised after seeing this restaurant in Slow Food, the old Veronelli and with good ratings on Tripadvisor. This is the first time we have been let down by all 3! Maybe the chef was sick that night and the kitchen porter was cooking? Would not go back.

Such clever mouthwatering food. We came back to Damiani e Rossi at the request of my eldest daughter, after a day on the beach. A lovely table by the sea, and a great unhurried taster menu. Loved the spaghetti mixed in with finely sliced calamari and spigola main course, so well cooked. Buonissimo!

I had dinner in this restaurant in August 2014. We had a great table, facing the sea.
The atmosphere is just right, with no crowd and no disturtbing music or light.

We had a starter (I had tartare of ricciola) and a main course (rosted ricciola), both excellent. The menu is not long, but sophisticated. The food is served with care and are nice looking.

It is probably a bit expensive, but more or less as expected for a restaurant of this level.

We were very lucky finding this place by accident, having misread driving instructions looking for another restaurant.
On a saturday lunch hour, well outside of the high season, this place was packed with locals.
The food centers on local seafood and seasonal vegetables.
We had the mixed starters: several small dishes like an artichoke with anchovy sauce, raw diced fish, scampi with asparagus, raw smoked fish with herb blossoms, everything very tasty.
The absolute highlight was a small bulbous squid, stuffed with a mouse of its innards and the ink, the squid pouch itself steamed to a melting tenderness, then coated with a brittle pastry eggshell, coloured by the black ink. The squid was made to look like a black egg and was set on a nest of fried zucchini shreds. This was a dish of a perfection you are more likely to find in one of Tokyo's or Paris finest eateries, rather than in an italian family restaurant. The pasta and the deserts were equally good.
The wines by the glass and the service speak for an ambition that reaches beyond this otherwise forgettable seaside resort. Make sure to book one of the few tables facing the sand and the shore.
The price level is, considering the quality not just reasonable, but improbable.
