The hotel is very comfortable and matched all our expectations but we where totally surprised by its restaurant. Service, quality, creativity, an extraordinary wine list...
We ended up having dinner there 3 times in our 3 days escape.

Rooms have an amazing view, they are sleek and comfortable.
Restaurant/Breakfast salon is just beautiful.
Everything was top notch.
Location is really convenient, just outside the Porto Azzurro village. Personnel was kind and available.

The Hotel is in a great location . The staff is very nice . The restaurant itself is gorgeous with a terrific view. . The facility though is very tired and in need of a long , long list of updates and repairs. The room was clean , but in need of so many upgrades and a good paint job. The walls are paper thin. Our room had glass doors that opened to a scenic view of the small town and cove , but their was quite a bit of ugly garbage just under the window that could easily have been attended to. The towels had a very peculiar odor.
The setting in the restaurant is amazing. It is a beautiful view, but the food is very average. There are much better options in town . This hotel is in need of an owner that wants to reinvest in their business.

Breakfast with great choice and attention to guest in details.Sea all around and sun from morning to evening.Staff extremely kind and wonderful organization.Be careful on room reservtion ...not all have a great view and windows.SPA small but sufficient, just for 6 or 8 people and it's necessary to reserve.Difficult parking ,but the staff is so kind to help you.Not recommended the beach of the hotel ,too crowded but the shuttle is free and the driver very simpy.

Room tip: Ask for double-wide windows

We stayed here for 3 nights on a tour from uk to geneva - elba - corsica - la rochelle. Porto Azzuro itself is a quaint harbour town with plenty of restaurants and bars.
This Hotel is on top of a hill and you either need to walk on a road or on a path which definitely needs some light clothing and no heels. We actually enjoyed the walk as it offered some fantastic views. Our room was fairly small with a big bathroom, it had rhe tiniest tv in the corner of the room. But one is on holiday so it didnt matter to us. One of the highlights was certainly the breakfast. The restsurant had some amazing views and the staff were fantastic. You had a choice of a cooked breakfast and continental as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this hotel.
