Worst hotel experience. Had to pay up front or they keep your passport. I reserved the biggest room with terrace they gave me nothing. The room was on fifth floor walk up. 200 stairs later we arrived to a room that was ver cold. Since there are no phones, we had to walk down over 200 steps to tell them we need heat room very cold. She said ok we. Put on heat for you. Little did we know the heat was only for an hour. We went to dinner and came back to a freezing room. Once again after walking up over 200 stairs to get to room, we had to walk down. No one at front desk after 8 pm. We froze to death. We had five blankets, slept with clothes on. It was awful. We never slept bc we thought we would freeze to death. Went down with all our bags to gentle hell out of this freezer room. We were supposed to stay for three nights and said we are leaving. Front desk had no sympathy that we froze for over six hours in room. No heat. They don't care. She said heat was turned off in April. It was 36 degrees in Montepulciano the first week of May. They could have left the heat on as we are guest in your hotel. Shame on you for making us freeze. We have never experienced such disdain from a hotelier in our lives. We insisted on having half I'd our money returned and she fought us tooth and nail. Do not book this hotel. They will turn off heat and act bc they are cheep and don't want to pay their bills. If you are older how can you walk up all those stairs. Front desk person lied about what happened to boss and then I got an email from boss insulting me bc we wanted half our money back. There are so many other options do not book this rat trap.
