I have always wanted to drink Montepulciano in Montepulciano and my dream came true at Croce di Febo!
Our bed and breakfast hosts at Siena House made our reservation here and we're very thankful to Maurizio for fitting us in after spending the day with journalists. He took us to the grapes, explained their philosophy, the history of the land, and their process from growing to processing to aging to bottling. I really admire the dedication to be pesticide free and the effort it takes to do everything by hand as they do here. The quality and passion that Maurizio has for his work is immediately apparent and it was nice to experience that. The wine is lovely and the prices are so reasonable. My only regret is that we arrived too late to spend time on the patio overlooking the beautiful vineyard. I wish we could have enjoyed longer.
